Had on tap at Four Horsemen.
A- Pours a pale golden straw yellow. No head with just whisps of white foam over the top of the beer. Lacing is just a few strands that seem to fall back into the beer with each sip.
S- Light toasted grain. even lighter floral hops in the backing. Pretty straight forward but lacks anything to help make it stand out. The aroma itself is very light and hard to detect without sticking your nose in the beer. Very forgetable.
T- Light foral hop in the front of the beer. Soapy flavors in the middle blends kind of with the hops. Light grain appearnace in the ending gets covered in a lasting floral hop bite and light alcohol.
M- Very light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the beer. Palate has mild soapy floral hops left on it. Aftertaste is light grain, floral hops, and light alcohol. Most of the time this just feels very watery. Flavors were muted but once again seemed to go together well. Only off flavor I thought was maybe a little bit of the soap like flavor which could have been a hop like profile or else fresh rinsed pint glass. Light alcohol drying on the palate.
O- Once again my only real complaint is in the mouthfeel of this beer. It is an easy sipper but at the same time it lacks the full flavor and has a water down feel to it. I have a hard time defining this one as a blonde ale because to me it has more of a pedestrian pilsner feel to it. It is light and refreshing and sadly maybe the best beer this company makes at the time.
Serving type: on-tap
