I have visited the Eulogy Tavern several times now and have enjoyed each. They have a great selection of beer both on tap and from the bottle. Of course most of the beer is Belgian, producing a good number of quality choices. The servers were always helpful and pretty knowledgable from my experiences. Yea this place is a bit cramped and dimly lit, but it has a pretty good overall atmosphere. They have an upstairs bar and dining area in which, on two occasions, was less crowded than the street level. I havent tried much of the food there but they have the typical Belgian fare (i.e. pomme frites, mussels, burgers etc). Monk's has a cleaner look and feel and a bit more space but has shown to be more crowded at times. They also have a bigger selection of beer but Eulogy is comprable. For a night of tasty beer in many styles, Eulogy Tavern is a good place to go.

In a nutshell, Eulogy Belgian Tavern's wide variety of beers (and other alcohols) makes this must-stop for those in the Philly. True to the architecture of the state, the bar itself is...cozy. It's split over two floors, and although we brought a large (8+top) and were able to be seated quickly and in comfort.
The drink selections spanned the palate and price range, there's definitely something for everyone, and the food was hearty, and well-prepared. Our server was the low point of our experience, whom I audibly heard curse at our entering (during a non-rush hour...). I'd still go back nonethless!Try the Malheur 12 :)
