Yes, they have an impressive selection of drafts and bottles but the overall impression and feel doesn't come close to what Monks (the original Belgian bar in town) offers. The interior is too small and tight with little room to move around. The decor is nowhere near the Belgian authenticity that Monks offers. Also I don't like that their list prices do not include the 10% Philadelphia city liquor tax...what the heck is that all about!!! I've never seen that anywhere in Philadelphia or any other bar for that matter. Price are probably 10% higher than they should be. $5.75 for an American microbrew is a bit steep.

To give the place some credit...they have Arrogant Bastard Ale by Stone Brewing on tap which is one of the best American microbrews period.

About as good as it gets...for example: several days post BCBS craziness, they were still selling bottles of both the original and barley wine to bar customers for enjoyment on-site or to-go.

Their rotating tap list is what makes this place awesome - just a great mix of beers from all over the world (with an expected focus on Belgian beers). Their bottle list is also the stuff dreams are made of - Cantillon is often on the list (for a price, but hey, it's an option).

All of the staff are super knowledgeable and actually love their craft.

Eulogy was my first foray into the craft beer scene in Philly and let me say if you haven't been you really need to put it on your list.

The beer selection is enormous and well selected they have many, especially many Belgian, beers that are must tries. They also have a pretty varied and long tap list. When I was there years ago I had my first encounter with St. Bernardus and it really opened my eyes.

There food is fairly good as pub grub goes. I remember enjoying a few sandwiches that I had there.

The service has always been good. They did a great job of accommodating us when we had a large party and when I have been there in smaller groups they have always been attentive.

The price depending in the beers can be a tad expensive but they do have several good low budget drinks.

In a nutshell, Eulogy Belgian Tavern's wide variety of beers (and other alcohols) makes this must-stop for those in the Philly. True to the architecture of the state, the bar itself is...cozy. It's split over two floors, and although we brought a large (8+top) and were able to be seated quickly and in comfort.
The drink selections spanned the palate and price range, there's definitely something for everyone, and the food was hearty, and well-prepared. Our server was the low point of our experience, whom I audibly heard curse at our entering (during a non-rush hour...). I'd still go back nonethless!Try the Malheur 12 :)
