I've been frequenting Monks and Local 44 in Philly for sometime, had to try Eulogy. Compare to Monks but slightly nicer atmosphere, food definitely better, though beer selection somehow not as impressive. Comparable tap selection, excellent, truly world class bottle list, but did not impress me as much as Monks. Had Ommegang Chocolate indulgence paired with a greta raspberry torte for desert, Russian River Consecration, Delirium Tremens, Piraat, St. Bernardus 12, Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA. Burger and fried were excellent, so were the mussels. Incredible place, definitely worth a pilgrimage. Slightly less expensive than Monks, atmosphere definitely better, only reason I would go to Monks over this place would be if I was looking for a particular beer that they dont have.

In a nutshell, Eulogy Belgian Tavern's wide variety of beers (and other alcohols) makes this must-stop for those in the Philly. True to the architecture of the state, the bar itself is...cozy. It's split over two floors, and although we brought a large (8+top) and were able to be seated quickly and in comfort.
The drink selections spanned the palate and price range, there's definitely something for everyone, and the food was hearty, and well-prepared. Our server was the low point of our experience, whom I audibly heard curse at our entering (during a non-rush hour...). I'd still go back nonethless!Try the Malheur 12 :)
