This is precisely the bar you're going to want to take your significant other out on a beer date.

Great atmosphere. There's the inside where the bar is which is very clean and with nice decor. There's a large glass enclosed patio, and a large outdoor patio with comfortable seating and even an outdoor gas fireplace with faux logs. Romantic, if that's what you're deal is, or warming if it's cold out. If you decide to head outside for a smoke, the bartender will leave a "gone for a puff" placard on the bar to save your seat. Pretty classy and laid back at the same time.

Apparently the floor manager Leo is a big beer buff, so the beer selection is quite good. There's almost no BMC beers, and they carry a couple trappist beers (Chimay red, Orval), as well as a good selection of local and craft brews, and a variety of imports.

The place is a kind of expensive, but nothing shocking. About $10 for a bottle of Delirium Tremens. My brother grabbed a pint of Kona Porter on draught for $6, and I grabbed an 11.2oz bottle of Porterhouse Oyster Stout for $12, which I thought was pretty expensive but decided to take up the opportunity to try a style of beer I haven't had and which probably isn't that easy to get ahold of. Was going to get a bottle of Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier, but it was $9 so I passed on it because that's a bit too much of a markup for my budget, even if it is one of my favorite beers.

A small plate of green chili cheese fries went for $5.49, and were decent, if a little underwhelming. The cheese felt a little cheap and runny, especially considering the price and classiness of the pub, but were pretty enjoyable nevertheless. Medium wait for the order, even though the place wasn't very crowded at all.

They do flights of four 10oz drinks for $10. Each flight has card holders so you can read up on each of the beers you're trying. Taste samples are free.

The service was near top tier. The bartender wasn't geek-level knowledgeable about beer but was very friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, engaging, and interested in talking about and learning about beer. Feels good to tip well for service like that.
