A less than hazy pour the color of straw, small white fluffy head that disappeared quickly leaving slight lace. Huge aromas!! Citrus Zest, Bubble gum, sweet basil, and a flowery open field. However the taste is a shadow of the wonderful aroma, which is a disapointment only because it smelled so nice and I was excited for something special. Still crisp and refreshing, grassy adn earthy notes with some corriander. Nice, but I wanted more. Palate is light and crisp just as it should be, carbonation is decent but a bit harsh and could be softer. Overall it is a nice beer from a solid brewer. I do wish the taste had more going on but a good effort and I enjoyed it very much with my meal.

Wow! I've tried all kinds of beers from around the world and this is my first Icelandic brew. There must be something about the water up north because this beer is fantastic. Smooth and flavorful. I kind of thought of it as being like a Hoegarden White but cleaner. I shared one with my neighbor and he said it was the best beer he has ever had. It is delicious, but not the best I've ever had. If you are into trying beers from different locations, this is a worthy beverage. I strongly recommend this one.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of July 2012. Picked up a while back from Harvey Nicks. The label mentions that it contains coriander and orange peel.

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A very hazy pale straw colour with fine carbonation. Forms a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding. Aroma of sweet, acerbic citrus with notes of lemon, orange, earthy yeast and a hint of wheat and coriander. A lovely blend.

Tastes of earthy yeast with a citrus character and a dry finish. Notes of lemon, orange, yeast esters and faint coriander. Dry; yeast almost harsh upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is light, crisp and effervescent. Quite dry and somewhat astringent. Aftertaste of earthy yeast and subtle citrus notes.

Tasty; the citrus character is great and the flavours/aroma blend together well. The coriander and wheat don't stand out much, but overall the fruit and spice have a pleasant subtlety. Mouthfeel was perhaps a tad thin, but this isn't a serious complaint. I reckon this could hold a candle to some Belgian wits. Easy drinking - grab one if you come across it.

Appearance - Pours a cloudy pale straw color with a white, one-finger head. Fair retention, resulting in a broken layer of suds across the surface. Very little lacing, and what's there has no stick.

Smell - Primarily spice in the aroma, undercut by some funky herbal character. Light citrus notes. Hints of wheat.

Taste - Follows the nose to an extent. Lots of clove spice upfront, then moderate notes of citrus. Wheat creeps in mid-taste and grows stronger toward the finish. Traces of herbal notes. Finishes with wheat and a light clove spice.

Mouthfeel - Medium in body with ample carbonation. Bitey. A nice feel for a wit.

Overall - A fair to good witbier here. Would be better if not for some herbal notes that don't quite fit. One of the more aggressive wits out there, and that's something I can appreciate.

A vigorous pour from a 12oz bottle into my Hoegaarden tumbler produces a tall frosty glacier of foam which recedes to a pillowy collar and slick. Beneath the frost resides a turbulent pale straw liquid teeming with chunks of lees. Good retention, delicate lacing.

Bright wheat-and-citrus laden aromatics with a hint of coriander.

Quite tart and fruit-forward palate entry suggests lemon zest and oranges. Slightly spicy, vaguely minerally finish. The additions usurp the contributions of the yeast.

Creamy effervescent mouthfeel.

A pleasing reviving drink in the increasing heat of early Summer.

One finger of head on a clear, light straw colored body.
The aroma is light and airy. Smells like sweet corn and candy. I actually like it though.
The taste is mildly sweet with a nice dryness and a touch of fruit.
The texture is light and bubbly with moderate carbonation.
It packs some great flavor into a lighter beer. I like it.
