The Centennial hop is the centerpiece of our American Red Ale. Reprise pushes the limits of a single hop with an amazing bouquet and stunning bitterness all the way through. The citrus character provides an experience you will want to repeat. Reprise is crimson in color with aromas of citrus fruit and biscuit malt.

Poured from a can into a nonic pint. Nice and biscuity, has a mildly bitter bite to it. Would be curious to see how it plays from the keg, Feels sessionable, albeit at 6%. Would likely seek out a 6, as this was a single buy.

Got a sample of this from the store. Word has it that 4 Hands is going to all cans, so their bottles are being liquidated off shelves. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but whatever. It landed me a free sample. Side poured with standard vigor from the bottle into a Sam Adams glass.

Appearance - Pours a sweet looking, amber/rust color. Decent one finger head rises to the top but dissipates relatively quickly.

Smell - Certainly some malts and yeast, with a touch of hop citrus and grapefruit mixed in. Smells balanced, it is apparent it has hops but is not "well-hopped," so to speak. There is truth to their claim of only putting one kind of hop in there, most likely.

Taste - Malts and yeast are the first things to hit the palate. Caramel, breads, and a bit of sweetness characterize the flavor before the hops. The hops are present in the middle to the end, and while they can be detected, they are subdued and not overpowering.

Mouthfeel - Finishes smooth, with a bit of bitterness from the single hop.

Overall - Mediocre. Its worth a try, I typically don't like amber/red ales, so I am biased, but at the same time this was so forgettable. It was not bad, it just was not good either.
