Notes/Commercial Description:
This beer brings together tow of our favorite ingredients; hops and rye - serious hops up front provide a pungent, floral, and citrus character. We use centennial, Columbus, and Cascades in this hop lovers dream. The rye provides a slightly spicy flavor and a full mouth-feel. Divided Sky pours straw in color with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and pine. Drink fresh!

Bottle courtesy of abrand, thanks again!

Pours a bright and hazy gold color with a big white head.

Aromas are of hard candy sweetness, light resin, and sweet citrus.

Taste falls off a bit after the pleasant nose. Beer seems heavy handed on the rye. Spicy up front, dry, and bready. Finish is also dry, and really bitter. But the hops don't add a whole lot except bitterness and some faint grapefruit.

Mouthfeel is pretty full and crisp, with nice snappy carbonation.

Overall a pretty simple but above average rye IPA. Really needs some more hop flavors other than the pretty strong bitterness though.

Pours a hazed & pretty much gushing straw color with crazy amounts of pearl colored head. Never cleared up, crazy head retention & lacing

S: Peppery & floral notes, grassiness & breadiness

T: Follows the nose, nice malty sweetness up front, grapefruit & pineyness as well. Dryness, more grapefruit, breadyness, plus peppery rye as this warms. Finishes with grapefruit, peppery rye, pine, caramel & woody dryness

MF: Medium bodied, slight carbonation, nice balance

Easy to drink, some rough edges, but a nice rye slanted IPA & one I would buy again if in sixer format

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, rye, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and rye flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a solid rye presence that is slightly better in the smell.

22 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a huge creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is rye malts with some sweet bread and not a lot of hop.

The flavor is sweet bready malt with spicy rye and peppery grassy hops with a good amount of bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of carbonation.

Overall, a decent rye IPA. The rye is prominent with good bitterness but not a lot of hop flavor.
