Pure gold in color. A thin veil of Brussels lace at the top. It smells like sweet pears and the trademark Belgian yeast strain. The pear flavoring is very strong on the front of the palate. It slowly fades into that trademark slightly musty yeast strain. Very smooth, but the pear flavoring is overpowering.

pours a clean golden yellow. light white thin fizzy head. light retention
light pear combined with a fresh funk. hint of citrus hops.
similar to nose, a well balanced pear to funk ratio. nothing over done here, just balance. white pepper and orange zest are very hidden. maybe a hint of burn in the finish.
mild to moderate carbonation, clean but dry finish
this was really good, better than prunus. i would and plan on drinking more of this.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Very pale yellow and hazy body. Huge white head. Pillow of foam and nice lacing.
Smell - A bit of fruit. Kinda apple-y. A ton of pale malt, at least relative to the other aromas. A bit of pepper.
Taste - Sweet malts. Some light apple fruit flavors. Grainy. More malts. Much more pepper in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium body. Overcarbonated.
Overall - Kinda dull, but the flavors are ok.

Thanks Mark for this one!
Pale straw gold with an orange tint in low light. Huge head of white foam, slowly dissipates leaving behind a tornado flurry of spotty lace in the glass. After a few minutes the head is gone. Nice clarity.
Pepper and phenolic yeast spice mainly in the nose.
Flavor is also spice forward, pear is subdued. Dry with a light phenolic yeast note and mild bitterness. Light feel with some effervescence to it. Pear isn't too high in the mix, it's more of an aftertaste that lingers with the yeast spiciness. Overall was good to try, more spice forward if that's your thing.
