An interesting beer to have while making supper. Thanks to rudzud for giving me this to try.

Pours a dark colored fizzy 1 finger head that fades slower than I expected from the many bigger fizzy bubbles, but still a med pace, decent frothy lacing, just about pitch black beer.

Nose just erupts with cocoa and chocolate, milk chocolate and a creamy lush chocolate, cocoa nibs and a little baker's choc, even a bit fudgey, I think a hint of lactose through that, and a little doughy cookie note, bit of a chocolate chip cookie.

Taste is more of the same, lots of chocolate and cocoa, quite a creamy milk chocolate, even a little chocolate milk but not a lot as a bit of lactose comes through. Again a mild doughy cookie malt center with hint of caramel and more chocolate chip cookie, mild dry cocoa powder too. Hint of an acrid like roasty malt as well with touch of coffee. Finish is a little sweet but quite dry, lactose dry finish, with a little more lush chocolate and cocoa, mild bitterness, and that's about it.

Mouth is med bod, fairly creamy and lush, nice carb.

Overall not bad, lots of great chocolate and cookie dough, nice cocoa and lactose milk chocolate, even a hint of roasted malt too, pretty tasty and enjoyable. Thanks Matt!

Black in color with no light penetrating this brew. A fingernail of khaki colored head rests on top. Brussels lacing. I smell lactose, chocolate, and dark malt. The flavor is bitter dark malt in the front of the palate. There's a restrained amount of chocolate and lactose present. The mouth is smooth and creamy.

A- pours dark brown/black with an obnoxiously large khaki head.
S- milk chocolate, cocoa
T- cocoa, sweet, milk chocolate, chocolate gets more bitter towards the finish
M- thin body and high carbonation
O- a good representation of the style with copious amounts of chocolate. It could stand to have a smoother mouthfeel but tasty none the less.

Enjoyed this pint with some perfectly suited chili caramel corn at the cool and inviting 4 Hands brewpub in downtown St. Louis before a Skinny Puppy/Front Line Assembly show.

Appearance: Dark complexion. Ruby highlights. Light lace on glass.

Aroma: Ooh the decadent chocolate. Some roastiness, but they certainly captured the spirit of chocolate here. Yum.

Taste: Exquisitely smooth. The lactose infusion makes this one sooo easy to drink and mellow. Chocolate flavors all the way here, with some roastiness rounding out the flavor profile. Absolutely delicious, so much so that we grabbed growlers to bring some more home (as bottles were all sold out during our visit). Very impressed!

pours cola brown, little bit of cocoa cream head.

lots of bitter chocolate on the nose. roasted malt and slight coffee.

although a milk stout, i picked up very little sweetness. heavy on bitter chocolate and roasted malt. not overly complex and slightly one dimensional but that is not really a bad thing. would have liked a bit more sweetness.

light body, moderate carbonation.

decent overall, good stout, easy to drink.
