A-pours slightly darker than straw yellow with a bright white head. There is a little cascading, but not much lacing.
S-Slightly hoppy-somewhat faint nose
T-Bitter with no distinctive flavors. It has an odd bitter lingering aftertaste. Very balanced between hops and malt. It tastes more along the lines of a Pilsner than pale ale. Honestly, this does not taste good at all, especially for the style.
M-Thin and carbonated
Overall, I'm glad I only purchased a 32 ounce growler. Both my father and my father-in-law tried it and hated it, so I'm not the only one. I had high expectations for this beer but it was very, very disappointing. It is one of the worst versions of the style I've tried.

Single Hop Pale Ale brewed with Mosaic hops.
Pours a deep brilliant golden color with a nice bit of pearl white foam. Leaves noticeable lacing on the glass. Very clear and clean looking.
Smell is floral herby citrus, leaning toward a light lemon zest aroma that has an undertone slightly of orange blossom honey. Very nice, very fresh smell. Some fresh grain smell as the beer warms, and it balances the hops nicely.
Taste is on the lighter side with a first hit of very light roasted barley that is quickly overtaken by the bitterness of the mosaic. Nice sharp citrus flavor with a very herbaceous quality. Very refreshing flavor with a nice dry finish that leaves you wanting another sip. Great effort by Birdsong; the quality of this beer is in its simplicity. Hopefully can be added as a seasonal or regular offering.
