Served at La Becasse
A slight haze is present in the golden bodied beer. Somewhat hard pour brings a small white head to the top.
Big wheat character with spice and citrus and apple. Slightest touch of tartness.
Fairly light and smooth on the tongue.
It was hot while I was in Brussels so a beer like this and the Doux worked really well.

A wonderful beer that I enjoyed in the sunshine - could drink a lot of this.
aroma: honey and light citrus fruit with slight funk
taste: lemon/lime/sherbet with honey, spice and peach skin. Has a nice and pleasant sourness/tartness with funk.
Well balanced and delicious!

Pours a deep gold color, initially mostly clear with a white, wispy head. Aroma of cracked wheat, hay, coriander like spice, lemon and a bit of sour lambic yeast.
In the taste, mild tartness, a lemony note from the yeast and wheat, and a light spice and bitterness. Light to medium bodied ale with a semi dry finish. I would think that many early Belgian style sours employed Wheat in their beer, it certainly works very well here. Overall this is a refreshing lambic/sour wit, done right by Timmermans. Very good.

750ml bottled 4/18/2012. Served in a wine glass
Appearance: Pours a golden yellow color with nearly 2 fingers of a white soapy head that dissipates rather quickly to a thin ring. Body is relatively clear but with moderate amounts of suspended sediment. Not much in the way of visible carbination.
Smell: Red apple, spices, a bit of an off putting grainy character and some malt sweetness.
Taste: Sweet and tart with flavors mimicking the aroma. Cider like apples and an odd graininess that's stronger than in the aroma and some background notes of wheat.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Carbonation is medium.
Overall: Not undrinkable, but not enjoyable at all. I had this on tap a while ago, and remember it being decent, so perhaps this is just a bad bottle. Although purchased recently, this is going on 2.5 years old, and I'm not sure how this ages, so perhaps that has something to do with it too.
