Sampled from a 750 ml bottle. Produced on 24/04/13.

A - Bright red with good clarity and a small white head that lingers.

S - Tart cherries!!! A hint of funk too.

T - A sour bite that starts early and only increases. It lingers nicely. It's fairly dry. The sour aspect is huge but the cherry flavors help to support it.

M - Light and airy with a high carbonation that spreads the flavor as it hits your palate.

O - Fantastic flavor and bite. Could use more depth and complexity but great flavors.

a nice kriek here, not as puckery as others, but approachable and authentically fruity. i like this better than either of the other kriek types they do. the pour is fizzy and stained red, without a ton of head retention through. tartness on the nose before the fruit, this feels more like a genuine lambic, light wheat and acid. the fruit gives an earthy sweet aroma and its contribution to the flavor is very similar. lactic acid in the finish cuts the sweet, and extremely bright carbonation makes it really hum in the mouth. low alcohol keeps it drinkable, and so much less residual sugar than their other krieks makes it more my style. the cherry flavor is strong but not dominating, and the malt is so light that the fruit is really forward. a little unbalanced, and not screamingly sour beer, but a well done kriek by all counts.

A- Very dark and hazy red/brown body with a pink effervescent head and a lot of yeasty sediment that poured out with it.

S- Smells of sweet cherries and sour must with a little vinegar.

T- Acidic and sweet upfront that changes to a sourness that puckers my jawline. With a long lasting sour cherry aftertaste.

M- Bubbly gueuze feeling with a bit more acid bite. Makes your mouth gush with excitement at first and then dries your mouth out a little toward the end until your next mouthwatering sip.

O- Great kriek beer. I love how extreme the sourness hits your jaw and how defined the cherry flavor is without being overwhelming.

LOOK: Pours a murky pink color with a white head. Active carbonation rises to the surface.
SMELL: Sour cherries, vinegar, wheat, breads.
TASTE: Full on sourness and some berry. Lemon, unripe citrus, zest. Sour as hell. Sour unripe cherries. Nice true lambic tartness, nearly puckering.
FEEL: Light bodied super carbonated feel with a small dry oakiness.
OVERALL: An aggressively sour Kriek. Enjoyable for those fond of sour ales.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into a 0.5L Duvel tulip. Bottle date 04/24/13, so only 7 months old at this point.

A: Bright, seemingly artificial red hue. Large amoun tof vigours carbation produces a rocky, loose head, which fades quickly

S: Smells heavily of sweet cherries and a distinctive sour note.

T: Big cherry flavor quickly overtaken by huge sourness. Tasty to be sure, but powerfully sour.

M: Big carbonation fills your mouth when it hits your tongue.

O: Overall a hugely sour example of this style. Not overbearingly sweet, thankfully, but a little one dimensional.
