A sweetened fruit lambic - I can't knock this too hard for being what it is unapologetically.

Gives a really nice pour into a flute glass. Slight off-red color, pinkish foam that even leaves a bit of lacing.

Aroma? Strawberry jam and Sweet-tarts candy.

Hmm. Almost reminds me more of the Sam Smith fruit beers than even a Lindemans sweetened lambic. It's all strawberry and Sweet-Tarts. Sweet, lacking much body. Decent little tart note that at least for me helps drinkability.

Basically a soda pop with a very low ABV. Amp up the "beer" qualities a bit, and this may score somewhat higher. Still, for a soda-pop, it's a pretty enjoyable soda-pop. I'm OK with stuff like this, because a) ladies who don't like beer often like this stuff and b) even I can't drink Saint Lamvinus everyday.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Best by 2/24/11.

The beer pours a pinkish/orange/amber color with a white head. The aroma is exactly like the strawberry candy that comes wrapped in the red and green packages that look like strawberries. I don't get much funk or tartness at all in the aroma, just syrupy strawberry candy.

The flavor is strawberries with a light bit of funk. I don't get very much tartness at all. Not sure of the age of the beer, but it may have been drank too soon.

Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of June 2013. Comes in a fancy paper wrapper. Picked up from a supermarket a while back and stored in my garage. The ingredients include 'flavourings' and artificial sweetner - not promising.

Poured into a Delirium chalice. A deep, hazy amber hue with a pinkish tinge. Good carbonation but tons of chunky sediment or coagulated protein floating around. Yields a decent head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before collapsing to a surface layer. Aroma of sweet, juicy strawberries with hints of earthy yeast. A faint stale note in the background. The strawberries do smell convincingly real.

Tastes of sweet strawberries with a dry finish. Notes of juicy strawberries, sugar/sweetener, earthy yeast, subtle acidity and a mild staleness in the background. The flavour possesses a faintly harsh, artificial quality that is hard to pin down. Dry, with no bitterness to speak of. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and slightly acidic, with decent body and carbonation. A delicate astrigency, followed by an aftertaste of strawberries and dry, earthy yeast.

Hmmmm, so-so. Drinkable enough, and the sweetness allows it to go down easily, but it certainly isn't a quality lambic. The chunky sediment is rather vile. Smells nice, if one-dimensional, but the flavour has some vague off-notes that detract from the overall character. The body also has something that isn't quite right; a sort of dry viscosity that feels somehow artificial. An OK brew if you want something sweet and fruity, but falls far short of the true potential of lambic.

Cool various shades of pink from the liquid to the head, good retention. Straight up yummy aroma that is spot on strawberry.

Taste falters, all sweet, less fruit flavor, really didn't deliver on the strawberry flavor like it did the smell. No sourness. Or if there was, it was just dominated by the sweetness. Not good enough for a lambic. Light enough body, maybe wheat to it. Easy to drink, but I'd prefer to just smell this stuff as opposed to drink it.

$5 a bottle, can't recommend it. Unless you just like to smell beers.

A- This beer pours a queer reddish-brown body that is murky, and a pink hue to the lumpy white head that last a good bit.

S- The strawberry milkshake aroma has an odd macaroni and cheese smell, like powdered yeast vegans eat instead of cheese. There is also a bubble gum ester note that comes through when the beer warms.

T- The fake strawberry flavor taste just like freeze dried ice cream with a sweet finish and a candy sugar note in there also.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a gentle fizz with no alcohol heat or astringency.

O- The big candy flavor is all artificial strawberry and there is no malt or hops to challenge it. The carbonation helps to cut the sweetness a bit but it is not enough.

Pours a hazy pale orange/pink. Poured extremely hard and produced a 3 finger head.

Smell is tart and salty strawberries. More fruit in the nose than their other sours.

Taste is mostly sour and funk with some candied strawberry coming in hard in the end. Refreshing as are all the others.

Mouthfeel is just as their other beers. Good carbonation. Light but not watery.

One of their better sours. More fruit presence here.

11.2 oz. bottle (6/28/10) poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance-Pinkish-orange-red hue with just a touch of haze to it. Head is nearly white but has the faintest hint of pink tone to it. Decent head retention.

Aroma-Overly sweet-smells like strawberry fruit snacks mixed with stewed strawberries. No other character or point of complexity to be found. Overly candy-like.

Flavor-My initial impression here is strawberry fruit snacks again. The sweet strawberry character is overwhelming up front and rather one dimensional, but fades relatively quickly, at first to a light strawberry candy flavor, followed by nothing. Flavor also has slight cider characters to it.

Mouthfeel-Medium body with moderately low carbonation. A heavy sugary character lingers on the palate-not quite cloying, but it gets close.

As with the other Timmermans lambic that I tried (the framboise), it is overly sweetened-quite reminiscent of strawberry fruit snacks. Overall a bad representation of a fruit lambic with no wild or tart character-it is entirely one dimensional. Tasty, but I can get Welch's Strawberry soda for a fraction of the price.

On tap in a Timmermans flute like glass.

A - Pink as one would expect it to be. It looks somewhat like punch you'd expect to see at a prom just without the sherbert floating in it.

S - The smell is lightly of straberry but it's not strong. Not much else.

T - I didn't much like the taste. There is enough alchohol that the strawberry feels like it's trying to mask and overpower any taste that may come through. It reminded me of medicine. It wasn't terrible but I can't say I enjoyed it that much.

M - Light and high carbonation.

O - Lambics are not my usual thing so take it with a grain of salt but I don't think this is something I'd go for again.

Pours translucent pale red, with a white head. It smells like a strawberry pie. Taste is like strawberries but weaker then I was expecting, also less sweet which in some ways makes it have more in common with other beers compared with most lambics. The beer is also pretty smooth. Its a good beer to sip.

Served from tap into a Trappe Door tulip. Poured a golden yellow-orange with a three finger white head that subsided to one finger very slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, strawberry, cream, and earth. The flavor was of sweet malt, sugar, cream, strawberry, and fruit. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. I had this one a little while back out of the bottle and really enjoyed it. However, the on draught version left something to be desired. There was more of an earthy note on the nose that was a little abrasive with all the other aspects going on here. The flavor was very light which made it easy to drink, but not the most enjoyable thing I drank this night. I would suggest this to a new craft beer drinker that was a fan of fruit, but for the refined Lambic drinker, I wouldn't bother with it on tap.
