Drank from the bottle into my Darkness tulip...Pours a dark blood red, almost grape juice purple with a light purple head. Ok retention and lacing...The aroma starts off with really "true" fresh squeezed raspberries; sweet yet tart. However, as you get deeper into the layers some really unpleasant notes of generic juice, and candy start to surface...The taste is terrible, a complete lack of flavor, no tartness the raspberries disappear and all you get a bitter metallic berry.

Most Timmermans are fruit to a fault and sweet, this is neither and a very poor representation of a fruit beer.

Pink head with a reddish pink body. Smell of sweets and raspberry and cherry. Taste is sweet with a hint of bubblegum, some fruity sweets coming through. Mouthfeel is a sour sweetness with some bubblegum. I did not care for it.

Clear pinkish red pour with pink tinted head. Smell and taste are clones: big sugary raspberry, almost like a syrupy you would put in a cocktail, then cough syrup with bland lacto and weak funk. Smell didn't have as rough of a finish. Feel is sweet and lightly sour but barely funky at all, light bodied yet thicker for style. Pass on this one

250 ml bottle, as Timmermans Framboise Lambicus, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4%. Pink to red colour, moderate off-white pinkish head. Sweetish aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries. Sweet flavour, ripe and over-ripe raspberries again, not much acidity. Little lambic character. Sugary and thin mouthfeel. Won't buy again.

Low-tier sugary fruit soda masquerading as "lambic", more like Framboise-A-Rita.

Reddish amber, thin layer of foam, minimal spotty lace.
Cloyingly sweet aroma. Smells artificial, red hard candy and cough drops.
Tastes cloyingly sweet as well, more like cherry/strawberry candy than raspberry.
Saccharine sweet candy aftertaste, flabby feel, just bland and gross. Didn't finish the glass.
This is trash. To quote Jean Hummler from Moeder Lambic: it's "candy factory bullshit".
Doubtful there's even any lambic in whatever this is.

330ml bottle from Valhalla's Goat, Glasgow (£2.99):
This one was an interesting offering in that it was very sweet throughout but didn't quite turning sickening, although it threatened too towards the end of the taste but stopped short of it. There was a nice combination of berries featuring with raspberries dominating & some strawberries sitting before some blackberries seen things out. It was a relatively easy beer to drink with fine carbonation & some subtle malts helping the balance slightly but I doubt I could drink more than one of this in a row.

I am a tremendous sucker for raspberry and strawberry in beer. I know there are all kinds of critical reviews of fruit beers like Abita Strawberry, likewise Lindeman's Cassis or Framboise - but I love how sweet and delicious this stuff is.

Timmerman's Framboise has a very thick, rich feel to it, and it somehow manages to dodge the syrupy, cloying mouth feel that makes a beer a novelty for me. I could drink several glasses of Framboise. As this bottle is a 2012 vintage, I have to imagine that age has been quite kind to it.

Between the fantastic raspberry nose and taste, this is an excellent beer.
