Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: Brad007 on 01-01-2012

This medium bodied American style IPA has an alluring golden glow and beautifully blends three strains of hops. While strong citrus notes ambush your taste buds halfway through the palate, the beer finishes very crisp and dry.

On draft at The Loft Tavern at Okemo! Next to the base lodge.

A: Filtered but still good lookin. Golden yellow with a frothy bright white head. Bits of lace and retention.

S: Huge tropical citrus, pine, resin, grass. Love it.

T: Same as the nose. So much flavor. Hops are on point. Really solid IPA. Sticky and tasty.

M: Massive flavor and so smooth. Proper carbonation and super easy to drink.

O: What can I say? Other than...another ridiculously delicious Vermont IPA! Great day of riding at Okemo followed by a great beer. Life is great.

Update: pickup up a growler at the brewery in December 2015. An incredibly drinkable, consistent, delicious IPA that would be a go-to if I lived in Vermont.

On draft, 16 oz pour into shaker pint.

A= Hazy, yellow, the head appears foamy and off white, big bubbles that settle to ring around glass. Lacing rings the glass creating line for each sip.

S= Earthy, floral, some citrus rind and zest, a bit of dankness.

T= Hop dankness, citrus, some tropical notes, bread, toasty malts.

M= Moderate carbonation, medium body.

O= This beer has improved greatly over time, a very good and easy drinking IPA. Flavors are clean and refined but still got that hoppy dank IPA goodness.

Served on tap in a pint glass.

Appearance: Orange with a haze. Thin white head and some lacing on the glass.

Smell: Citrus and pine.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and pine with hints of citrus.

Overall. This was an ok IPA. I would have it again.

First Growler sold, poured into a tulip - thanks to diffidentbastard for picking this up to open on NYE 2011!

Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a small off-white head with minimal lacing. Nose is hoppy, piney and a bit earthy.

Taste is eerily reminiscent of Heady Topper, a bit less dank but chewy and bitter while still being very drinkable. The Mouthfeel is full and clean with a small bitter bite on the finish.

Overall a really solid start for another new VT brewery!

Had on tap at Doc Ponds in Stowe on Sunday, 9/27. Pours a nice amber copper color with some haze, decent head that leaves lacing. Nice hoppy aroma on this one, resinous but with a backend of some stone fruit. Flavor follows the nose, it has a decent sweetness to it along with a fairly robust hop note. Very "east coast meets west coast". Overall a bit too bitter for the flavors that come out and the body is heavier than expected. A solid IPA, though, wish I had a change to try Second Fiddle.
