Can dated 12/31/2014 obtained as an extra from awesome BA, kingston2. Thanks Mike!
Originally had this brew at the brewery in May 2014 but lost my notes. I did rate this fairly high on Untappd, so big expectations.

Slightly hazy, orange-marmalade color elixir, vigorous pour into SA pint glass. Huge 2- finger head, large fluffy bubbles and plenty of thick lacing.

Oranges, pineapple, subtle dank pine with some bready malt sneaking in.

Starts with some awesome tropical fruit and nice hop bitterness, the malt comes smashing into the party and does tone down the hop profile.

Medium body, well carbonated, refreshing.

If I could, I would give the brew a 4.3 for smell and taste but nostalgia and maybe an almost one month-old can, are at odds. At the time of the initial tasting, we grabbed a growler from the brewery, which is housed alongside a pizza joint, and headed next door for some awesome pie. The combination of this fine DIPA and the food really create an atmosphere that could lend itself to hyperbole. But nonetheless, a fine representation of this VT brewery.

A--Nice orange/yellow color with about a one inch head. Looks delicious
S--Whew! Hops anyone? Incredibly fresh smelling, dank hop bomb in your face. There is a little bit of breadiness but the hops are dominating here--as they should.
T--Grapefruit, pineapple hops bursting, nice malt bread makes this pretty smooth for an 8%. Less bitter finish than I remembered having Mastermind.
M--Medium, just the right amount of carbonation for my taste.
O--Really impressed by this beer. I actually preferred this to Mastermind. When you open the can its apparent by the smell that this is gonna be your typical VT DIPA. Incredible stuff that I look forward to having again soon!

Citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, great mouthfeel, smooth, a bit of a hop bite but not at all bitter. So well balanced and drinkable, the alcohol is just so well hidden. A supremely made DIPA and one of the best i've had. I could drink this nightly and not get tired of it or too filled up. Hop lovers delight!
