Appearance: Pours a mostly clear pale gold. It's white head fades to a small ring that leaves a bit of lacing.

Smell: The aroma is a faint, but well balanced, mix of sweet malt and freshly mown hay, along with a hint of corn.

Taste: The flavor is quite simple, with the same balance of malt and freshly mown hay from the aroma. There's a bit of slighty sweet corn, but it's faint. There's little-to-no hop flavor, and the balance is more to the sweet side, which carries through to the finish.

Mouthfeel: Quite light in body, with a crisp dryness.

Drinkability: This is a standard cream ale. Not a bad brew by any measure, but you can only expect so much from this style. A well-brewed crowd pleaser.

The cream ale from Phantom Brewery was not bad. It was the favorite of the Phantom Brews for my girlfriend who tasted along side me. While I preferred their IPA and the special Coulter's Kolsch that we also sampled this is a solid beer. It's a bit fruity, so if you are looking for something to drink for a couple rounds or more stick with their IPA or Kolsch if available.

The beer pours a gold color with a 1/4" white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a sweet pale malt scent; very enticing. The taste is also good. It has a sweet pale malt flavor that goes down smooth and finishes dry and fruity. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low/medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a good cream ale. It's highly drinkable as well as refreshing.

Beer named: Demolition Cream ale

A clean white head on top of a hazy, orangy gold ale. Very lightly carbonated, much different than that Genesee Cream Ale I'm used to.

Really nice creamy, malty aroma. Sweet like a berry, but no specific aroma. Love it! Cirtusy, like lemon and straw carefully combined to make a demolition of a cream ale. By far the best cream ale I have ever consumed. I had to order another.

The taste is a like a pale ale, really malty and really mellow. No nasty off-tastes or light fizziness as you would get in some commercial brands. Not much to it, light, easy drinking, with a whole lot of flavor!

There is a creamy, malty, citrusy sensation to this. I would consider this a world class cream ale. MF is a soft and supple and I would drink this all of time if I could.

Up for review is Phantom Canyon Brewing Company's take on a Cream Ale. Poured, quite cold mind you, into a pint glass. Well priced at $2.50 during happy hour. Smooth, well balanced example of the style. Unfoprtunately non of teh complexities that exist in finer offerings. Go get some, try it for yourself.

Poured a gold color with a small white head. The aroma is decent. It has a sweet pale malt scent; very enticing. Taste is slightly fruity and watery with no character... mouthfeel is low bodied and weak. Save your money and get another beer like the IPA.
