Received this as a part of a trade, in a mini growler bottle. Poured into tulip.

A- poured bright orange with a small head, probably because it came from a growler. Decent lacing.
S- tons of sweet lemongrass, citrus, ginger, sweet biscuit, earthy, hints of one tropical fruits
T- unlike anything I've ever had. As it hit my tongue it tasted kind of like skittles almost without the sweetness. Lots of ginger and lemon, slight tropical tones, just the perfect amount of bitterness that allows you to focus on the flavors instead of the hops. I honestly cant pick apart all the flavors, theres a lot of exciting stuff going on at once. Little to no malt. Texture is smooth. Low carbonation.
O - absolutely loved this one, very unique and leaves your mouth wanting more. The flavors works so well with the ibus and its so damn refreshing. This is so easy to drink and I'm really glad I got a chance to try this gem. If you can get this beer, get as much as you can.

The first beer I've tried from Bare Hands, and it's a winner. My friend was awesome enough to bring a growler from the brewery, which we quickly guzzled up. What I love most about this brew is that it's creative and different, accomplishing exactly what it sets out to achieve.

Thai.P.A. pours a beautiful hazy golden with a medium white head. The aroma is dominated by fresh ginger, with hints of lemon -- and this element is truly fantastic. The lemongrass becomes more prominent when tasting the beer, complementing the ginger nicely. As the beer warms, the lemongrass becomes even more pronounced, and the ginger provides just enough of a kick that lingers in the finish. Overall, it is extraordinarily drinkable and refreshing. The carbonation is fairly light, though I feel this helps accentuate the excellent mix of flavors.

Definitely looking forward to trying this again, as well as other creative concoctions from Bare Hands!

Screw-top squealer received via Growling at the Moon. Thanks for the brew, Cory!

First stein pours with a 1/4" off-white head over the cloudy golden amber brew. Head is promptly down to a skim, with leggy lasting lace. Aroma is earthy citrus.

Taste is tea upfront, lemon comes on in the middle, and close brings citrus bitterness and a revisit of lingering tea after the swallow. Mouthfeel is smooth, with drinkability is good. Tea adds an interesting aspect to this brew.

Bare Hands Brewery is exactly the type of establishment the South Bend/ Granger Beer Advocate community has needed.

These guys are producing a wonderful mix of solid stylized staples and standout experimental brews. Thai.P.A. perfectly melds these two categories. This a delicious I.P.A with a well executed Thai-influenced twist.

Appearance: The pours is opaque gold with hints of orange. It has a sticky white head that laces the top of the glass.

Smell: The smell is outstanding. Immediately from the pour there are strong notes of ginger and lemongrass. As the beer warms the smell only becomes more intense and delightful. When the kaffir lime leaves come out from the background this beer takes on a new complexity that is just awesome.

Taste: The beer has an outstanding complexity on the palate. The mix of a great hop profile with a prominent, but not overpowering, blend of Thai ingredients is something truly unique. There is a light sweetness from the ginger/lemongrass/palm sugar interplay that perfectly accentuates then bitter/citric hops.

Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is good. Visually the pour looked a bit less carbonated than I had expected, but after tasting it I think that going on the lighter side of carbonation was a perfect call by the brewers to let the Thai flavors standout.

Overall: This is an amazingly drinkable beer that promises big things to come from this new brewery. It is complex, original and damn delicious. I only wish I had regular access to it. This is a perfect beer for summer BBQ drinking.

Picked up a 16oz can in a trade with awdturboiv. Poured into a standard pint glass.

Pours a light orange to straw-like hue with a fluffy white head, good retention and massive lacing from start to finish. Aroma is exactly what I hoped to find based on the label - tons of chai spice, orange and a hug floral hop bouquet with jasmine tea-like characteristics. The aroma really carries over into the flavor, though the spices are more subtle - the orange and fruity hops work really well together and more of the jasmine tea characteristics are presence. Medium bodied, effervescent, crisp and refreshing. What a fun IPA!

This is a great beer from Bare Hands. I've had it on tap but am reviewing my first pour from a fresh growler. This is a fantastic beer. It's complex yet familiar if you're a somewhat adventurous eater. The aroma is pleasant and balanced between citrusy hops and ginger with hints of lemon. The smell translates well to the taste of this beer. It does have an IPA feel to it but the thai influenced spices are prominent. The ginger stays with you through the finish and offers just a hint of heat, which is pleasant. This beer is extraordinarily refreshing. It drinks like a session beer at 7.1 abv, which could be dangerous on a summer day by the pool.

Poured from growler into an imperial pint.

Looks great in the glass, deep golden/orange with a loose foamy head that leaves quite a bit of lacing all the way down the glass - actually, I think the best lacing I have ever seen. Really, really nice on the nose with strong citrus and lemongrass aroma.

I haven't been able to find a detailed brewing description, but this has to be Citra heavy but is not fruity like some others in the style. Very nice taste and mouth feel with strong but not unpleasant bitterness. Hints of lime and I would guess ginger. Finishes clean with a nice subtle aftertaste.

This is a great drinking beer but I did NOT enjoy it paired with food. There was too much going on that it was overly competitive with my meal. Not at all a knock on the beer, I actually just pushed my plate away and enjoyed the beer on its own.

In my area this is a really competitive style and I would put it behind Zombie Dust and Daisy Cutter; but not by much - it is right there with those two.
