Pours a relatively clear yellow with a white head. Some wheat an bread, a somewhat citric and lemony. A little bit of banana and good coriander aroma. Flavor is citrusy and lightly tart. Orange and lemon, bread, and light banana. Not too much coriander, but a little bit on the finish. Lightly sweet in the back end. Very light body with high carbonation.

11.1 oz bottle poured into an Adelbert's snifter. Batch 001, bottle number 118. Bottled 3-2-12.

The beer pours a hazy straw color with a large, fluffy white head. The aroma has quite a bit of coriander and wheat in it, with a little bit of orange peel thrown in. Smells about like I expected it to. The flavor is fairly heavy on the wheat, with a little bit of lemon and orange. There is also some lightly toasted malt and a little coriander. Thin to medium mouthfeel and a soft, medium carbonation. Easy to drink and quite enjoyable.

Thanks, wagenvolks and xpimptastikx!

Hazy golden witbier with a mild aroma of wheat and very mild citrus. Mildly expressive flavors of wheat, mild coriander, moderate bitterness, and floral notes. Tasty, though with a bit too much carbonation. Nice enough witbier--very drinkable.

Starts with a huge head, foamy and cream-colored. The liquid is cloudy and orange and wheat colored, but still very close to white and pale.

The aroma of clove and banana immediately hit me when I crack the bottle and some sweet maltiness and wheat are present as well. I get much more on the tongue, particularly tartness and lemon, then the banana and clove, a wheaty back end, some slight pepperiness and spice.

I appreciate the light body on this beer and how easy it is to sip. The carbonation is strong, but there's still some creaminess. The beer finishes semi-dry with a tingling sensation from the yeast.

I'd have more of this in a heartbeat. It was good on this semi-cold New Mexico evening, but also would go great in the warmer months.

A- Hazy, brownish pear color with plenty of loose yeast in suspension and plenty at bottom of bottle and glass. Thin, quickly dissipating white head leaves no lacing.

S- A bit sour (my brother and co-taster agreed). Coriander and a light citrus.

T- Much more complex than smell indicates. Sweet with a hefeweizen type bubble gum flavor and aftertaste. Orange/citrus flavor is more prominent.

M- Light-bodied with dry afterfeel.

O- Had Scratchin' Hippo at a beerfest recently and actually poured it out. This is a much stronger effort. A bold wit that i recommend you seek out.

Poured into a Stone flute. Big pop when pulling the cork, but no gushing. Pours a light straw amber with golden notes and a three finger, large bubble head that still had good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of coriander, mild caramel malt, apple juice, saison style yeast. Flavor is coriander, bready malt with a hint of caramel, saison yeast, mild wheat, light orange and lemon citrus; finishes semi-dry with citrus peel, clove and coriander bitterness. Light bodied with peppery, active carbonation, nice mouth feel. A spicy wit that has characteristics of a wit, tripel and saison; wit malt and wheat, tripel intensity of spicing and a dry, saison yeast flavor. I thought it worked quite well; more intense than a typical wit, but with interesting yeast and spicing. Perhaps a bit overspiced for the ABV (a tripel would have had more intensity of other flavors to counter the spicing), but overall reasonably balanced and flavorful. I stumbled on this year old bottle on a trip and don't expect to see it again, but I'd like to try other ales from this brewery. I wouldn't be surprised if I scored a fresh bottle more highly, but even so, this has held up well with no visible age flaws.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that died down, but consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of coriander and orange peel are present in the nose.
T: Very much like the smell, the taste is dominated by flavors of orange peel and coriander, the latter of which stand out in the finish.
M: It feels just about shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and has a nice amount of orange peel and coriander. It feels a little too spicy and heavy on the palate to be thirst-quenching.

Note: Batch No. 11, Bottled on 6/5/2013
