310 ml bottle (exp. 07/2016), in a glass mug. Copper in color, low foam, cloudy. Good aromas of malts and floral American hops, which both translate to mouth. Some toasted malts. Very bitter. Lighter body than I expected for the style.

Unfortunately I could not see it in a transparent cup, because the site does not offer... I liked the aroma and taste that persisted in the mouth more than 1 hour, than the time I took. Enjoyed with a kibe... Hope to see you again and best enjoy it!

Slightly hazy amber orange color with a thick head with an eternal retention and leaving laces. Nice citrusy aroma with notes of grapefruit and bready malt. Though not strong for American standards. Sweet taste of slightly toasted malts with a good hop kick with resin, pine and citrusy notes. Hints of pepper, grapefruit, honey and yeast. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Medium to full body with medium carbonation. Alcohol of 8.8% ABV is well hidden. Still not sure what a Double APA is relatively to an IPA and a Double IPA. Anyway this a decent brew, though less complex and more expensive than better world class American peers. Worth the merit that we don't have lots of local adventures on this great style.

Dark orange, semi clear, white finger, lace.
Citrus, sweet bread, pale malts, tangerine,
Heavy citrus, pine, a flowery hops. Bready malt sweetness with a hint of booze, good drinkability for the ABV. Creamy feel, good carb. Strong bitterness
Quite good and hoppy!

From a 310 mL bottle, thanks DoubleJ,
A: Pours a semi-clear reddish orange, with some brown. Long lasting white head, leaving excellent thick lace.
S: interesting, some notes of diacetyl and butter, some sugar, but some nice back end hops.
T: Sweet malt, with a touch of diacetyl, which frankly tasted pretty good. Nice grass and pine from the hops, some melon rind. An odd mix of flavours, but it works for me, even if it is a bit haywire.
M: Medium-bodied, crisp carbonation, refreshing feel for its size.
O: This isn't really a great example of a DIPA, it's more like Burton meets the American IPA, but it's certainly enjoyable, and something I'd like to have again.

Way's fourth variation of their American Pale Ale, this is a stronger version of the original, clocking at 8.8% alcohol. One more beer brought over by Sergio, on to the beer:
It looks like the color orange decided to get a tan in the glass. Good lacing is provided by the beer. The nose is bittersweet, not in literal terms but in figurative terms. There's the good (honey, crisp hops) and the bad (vegetal, diacetyl), and a little solvent alcohol which also hits the nose. It's cleaner in the taste, which shares a good honey base, modest hop juice and piney notes, then comes a sweet syrupy flavor that reminds you how strong of a beer you'redealing with. Strange, because the first part of the taste is much like the regular APA in flavor and refreshment. It retains a crisp bite, but the body is bigger, being at medium-full.
The Double APA is fun to try once, and after that I'd prefer the original version unless a few edges of this are rounded out. Despite that, this does show that some of Brazil's brewers are not afraid to go down the road of unknwon.
