I would like to give my eternal thanks to my local, in-person trader, @tone77 for his massive recent drop-off that included this beer! I was astounded by how much beer he brought for me & shamed by the fact that mine was merely a paltry offering. 8=( I must atone to @tone77 !
From the Bottle (his drop-off, his call): "Bottle Conditioned Belgian-style Ale"; "Witness Witbier"; "Inspired by the World's Rich Beer Culture"; "Alert the media. You've just found a Belgian-style Witbier with real soul. We're talking multi-tracks of solid gold goodness, citrusy undertones, and a refreshingly dry backbeat, all shimmying under a creamy white head. Wave your hands in the air, people, and testify: CAN I GET A WITNESS?"
I was glad that I read @tone77 's review since I did some in-bottle agitation before Pop!ping off the cap. I did not experience any gushing, but it was quite active in terms of its carbonation. My gentlest C-Line pour led to a LOT of foaming, forcing me to stop & start repeatedly. I was finally left with two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention, resembling meringue. Color was a cloudy, turbid Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose had a papery mustiness, undoubtedly from the yeast, like old newspapers stored in the attic. That might sound worse than it actually was. Sorry. Mouthfeel was medium, but the carbonation made it feel like it was exploding in my mouth! It had a prickly feeling on my tongue after the swallow, like Pop! Rocks from when I was a kid. 8=O The taste was slightly citric, very wheat-y like my late Pops' Wheaties & just a little spicy as well as slightly tart. It was actually a decent interpretation of the style. Finish was dry, although not gasping. I do not know whether to attribute that to the yeast, the spices or both. Hmm. YMMV.

Poured from a brown 11.2 oz. bottle. That's pretty unusual for an American brewer. Despite zero agitation, this beer came gushing out, resulting in a hazy golden color with several inches of head. Smell is very mild, hints of wheat. Taste is oranges, wheat, some spices, highly refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Pours a cloudy, maize color. 3/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong wheat, strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, yeast, hint of fruit, and slight spice. Fits the style of a Witbier. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of strong wheat, strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, yeast, hint of fruit, and slight spice. Overall, good appearance, aroma, good strong wheat, and a pleasant blend.

I'd drink it again if my options were limited for a Witbier but the feel was lighter than I prefer, lacking lacking a certain fullness of body. The taste has some nice clove undertones with subtle citrus and a hint of bitterness.

Agree with orange, banana, and wheat flavor. Had with brunch at Nighthawks in MPLS. Tasty but not as good as the Ommegang Hennepin the night before.

Orange, banana and wheat aroma. Taste is driven by orange and is more musty than most Witbiers I have had. Light notes of lemon, banana, clove and coriander. The mouthfeel is very creamy but isn't as refreshing or dry as desired. Decent Wit overall.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into an ale glass. Very intense clear yellow color. Modest 1-finger head which dissipates rather quickly. Citrus stands out the most. Great mouth-feel and good carbonation. Went down too fast. It was that good. Need another too better appreciate it.

Appearance is sad. With any Belgian yeast i expect a solid head. This one had extremely minimal head and dissipated quickly into a sad pile of suds. Looks like my first home brew to be honest. Smell is worty/a little unattenuated and sweet no tropical or zest or spice.
Very meh beer. Taste is fine, clear Belgian yeast strain but MF is syrupy instead of light and happy. A miss for me from this brewery since i enjoy thoprock and brimstone.
