While the beer selection was great, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable, the service left something to be desired. The staff wasn't welcoming and the hosts were being bitchy with each other. That was a bit odd and disconcerting. Perhaps it was not something that occurs regularly, though.

This bar opened up near Washington square and I just got around to checking it out last week. Atmosphere is very open and clean. The room is dimly lit with tables for 6-8 and booths around the outside. Bar sits in the middle of the place with three TVs on each side. When I was there they were playing a two different football games and the third was used to play music videos. The music is all over the place, you never know what you're going to get. One minute it's recent alternative bands, the next it's beyonce. There are 52 taps which are generally good mid-range beers. Expect to see a lot of Widmer, Bridgeport, ninkasi, stone and the likes. They did have blue moon and Budweiser on tap, but the majority of the taps are good craft beer. The server that my friends and I had was a young guy. He seemed to know a little about beer, but I never got a chance to ask any questions and subtly quiz him. In general he did a good job, he was relatively quick and checked in with often enough. The rest of the servers were women, clearly chosen for their appearance. They all have a "uniform" of short skirt and high socks. I didn't really appreciate this blatant use of sex appeal. Seriously, be a little more classy than that. The food was decent, nothing to write home about, but not a disappointment.
