Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance - Light golden hue and very clear. Very thin almost unnoticeable head with heavy lacing and a good amount of carbonation. Lack of head could be from oil in glass.
Smell - Very faint scent of grass, straw, certainly not overwhelming. Malted wheat scent is apparent but not strong.
Taste - Extremely Light, bright wheat flavor with a mild hop kick. Malt is present but not overwhelming. A nicely balanced wheat beer.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium body. Refreshingly crisp, almost like an American light lager with significantly more taste.
Overall - Very enjoyable and refreshing. I am not usually a wheat beer drinker, but this one is very good. I like that this beer is not the traditional unfiltered, heavy wheat beer to I come to expect. Indeed this is a great summer beer and one that I would try again.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear straw yellow color. It has a big, frothy, white head that sticks around for a long time and leaves behind spiderwebs of lacing. There appears to be a moderate amount of carbonation.
S: Wheat and floral grassy aromas are the main components with a touch of yeast and a bit of toasted malts. But the grassy aspect dominates the others.
T: Not much going on here other than a slight floral hoppiness and a touch of wheat. A slight bittering effect finishes it off.
M: Light bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. A light, crisp bite finishes it off.
O: This was just an average wheat ale. Nothing stood out to put this one above the rest, but it is certainly drinkable.

A: A nice amber brown color pours to a finger and a half of head that dissipates to a very nice veil of lace on the top that clings all around.
S: Nice grassy grainy aromas with a hint of toasted malt and slight notes of biscuit. Very faint notes of citrus that became a little more pronounced as it warmed but not by much.
T: Tasting some toastyness and dry biscuit right off the bat. Leads to some of that grain/grassy flavor and into some nice citrus hoppyness at the end with very minimal bitterness. Very enjoyable.
M: Light carbonation with a crisp clean feeling on the palette works very well with the flavors.
O: Very enjoyable summer beer, everything balances well and all of the flavors and light and crisp. Great job by the Anchor brewers.

Had this at a local tavern out of a pint glass. This is my first time drinking Anchor Summer.
This looks pretty good for a summer style. Very light yellow with some pretty fluffy foam.
There was pretty minimal effect to the smell. I get a little bit of grainyness.
The taste is also very simple. There is some grain, a little grassiness, and a light mineral taste. I felt that it was very drinkable, but there wasn't much there. Not bad, just no lasting effect.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear straw yellow with a fluffy one finger head. Great lacing and head retention.
Aroma has plenty of citrus along with some grass, hay, and yeast.
The flavor has citrus with lemon being predominant up front along with a little bit of yeast. Some grain is present along with a moderate, drying bitterness lasting into the finish. Finish also has a salty quality that lingers.
Overall, a decent if unspectacular wheat ale. It's pretty refreshing but I don't really care for a overly dry finish.

Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale glass.
Out of the bottle foams real nice and big but with control. Large cap of sudsy shampoo white, varied bubbles in size, but lots of retention and staying power. Body is crystal clear dark twenty four carat yellow, brassy, with rising carbonation not too fast but at a good clip. Real sexy looking drink.
Chewy wheat, and spicy phenol and hop. Not so crisp, more of a dense wheat malt sensation. Basic, simple, solid.
Palate hits with a muted lemon juice, then with a good malt mix backbone. Finish lingers with a good bakery white bread quality. Good crisp mouthfeel, and finish has a little banana estery quality to it, just ever so faint.
Pretty refreshing and easy drinking and decent tasting. I dig it.

Poured into a pint glass. This one pours a hazy golden straw with two fingers of frothy white head. Good retention with sob cobweb-esq lacing.
Mostly grainy malts on the aroma with some hints of lemon in the background. The pallet shows off nice grainy characters with some zesty lemon in the background. Seems to have a slight bitter hop finish.
The body is nice and light with somewhat soft carbonation. Overall an enjoyable beer. I can see myself grabbing this again.
