Was excited to see a new offering from Anchor - especially on the East Coast.
Appearance: Clear, straw yellow color. Fluffy white head races to the top of the glass, remains nearly 3 fingers thick for sometime prior to dissipating. Clings to the sides of the glass quite generously. Tiny bubbles steadily travel from the bottom of the glass up toward the head.
Smell: The aromas are subtle. Slight piney character, herbs, honey sweetness.
Taste: Light honey flavor up front (as detected in the nose) followed by a spicy bitterness (citrus like) then some piney notes. Bitterness of hops lingers for a bit before fading away completely. I get the taste of Anchor Liberty in the background incorporated with the addition of more hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a bit of tingle from the carbonation. Somewhat dry crisp finish on the palate.
Drinkability: Very drinkable. Nice refreshing APA. Would recommend trying if you are already a fan of Anchor's other offerings. I hope that Anchor adds this to their lineup on a fairly regular basis!

Great tour at Anchor Brewing Co. and this was one of my favorite tastings, I have to say hoppy type of beer very very smooth to savor. I was also spoiled enough to have a freshly made pour, so that is definitely how all beer should be consumed in beer heaven. It was almost fruity tasting. I need some of this on tap or draft so please advice when I can get it aside from the Headquarters. fyi, from a bottle it's alright but definitely reminiscent of the goodness.

Pours a dark golden, slightly orangey color, and a small white head which quickly disappears.
The aroma is my favourite, although slightly weaker than I'm used to - citrusy hops dominate the smell.
The taste starts neutral with a slight bitterness, slightly fruity, and finishes with a strong spicy taste, which also stays in the aftertaste.
Very nice ale, although I have a feeling, nothing really extra rememberful.
