Why haven't I had this beer yet? Many regard this as highly as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. For an overwhelming amount of Beer Advocates, this was a gateway into the world of Craft beer.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The beer looks really nice, with a clear golden light brown body and a huge creamy white head that sticks around for a while and leaves a heavy trail of lacing behind.
The smell is alright. A lot of lemon and some stinky grapefruit. Unfortunately, it is a little bit too overpowered by lemon. The malt sweetness is prevalent. The same can be said for the taste, with a light caramel sweetness that unbalances the lemon citrus notes. All in all, a very nice easy to drink beer, and one that I would consume again.
