Poured from a 12 bottle into a Kentucky bourbon barrel ale glass for no apparent reason. The bottle is pretty neat with a nice story about the beer. I definitely love Anchor's bottling.
A - Hazy orange color with an offwhite head. Lacing is minimal but present. The Pour yields a pretty impressive long lasting head.
S - Smells of clean Barley and hops.
T - sweet up front, with a long lasting dry bitterness from the hops. Taste is clean and the hops at a subtle but nice citrus.
M - Now, for my only gripe. This beer is incredibly overcarbonated. Light bodied. It almost burns as it goes down.
O - I hate to have a beer brought down by a single category, but this one is a shame. I'm not sure if its a bad batch or what, but I didn't really enjoy drinking it. The taste smell and look are all great though.
