Reddish-copper color with some onion skin hues. Head is off-white, consisting of a fine carbonation structure and well supported. Slightly hazy, but healthy in the glass.
Nose is a little subdued as an IPA. Citrus and some light pine, quiet fruitiness and some sweet malt notes.
Citrus and resin on the palate, but on the subtle side on the initial attack. Gentle malt sweetness which is nicely balanced. Hops character builds a little as the beer works through the palate. Just a touch of alcohol heat late in the finish.
Mouthfeel is very supple, but a little light on body. Very low astringency. Carbonation is gentle and nicely balanced.
A nice beer, but would like to see the hops take a little bolder role in the beer for the style. Certainly not every IPA needs to hit you upside the head with a hop vine, but a little more definition here would be nice.
Bottle is in code and had been stored properly.
