Appearance: Slightly hazy orange color, with one finger of head that fades slowly to a thin cap with chunky lacing.
Aroma: Lightly toasted malt, a little bready and hints of banana, orange rind and cinnamon.
Taste: Mildly astringent malt quickly followed by a nice bitter bite with a mix of earthy and piney hop notes. Residual malt sweetness is ever present under the bitterness, providing a nice contrast. The finish is fairly astringent with lingering bitterness.
The Rest: Body is medium to just on the thin side of this tasty IPA. This is a nice change-up from the typical AIPA, with the malt having a more prominent role in the taste profile. It has great balance with a lot of back and forth between the hop and malt characters.
