pours a brilliantly clear yellow orange with a white head.
starts with an aroma of honey, forest, and citrus (lemon, orange, lemon rind, grapefruit). followed by a slightly sour, yeasty bread smell that plays really well with the lemon. not much lacing going on and head falls somewhat quickly.
taste is dominated by the hops. pronounced lemon bite at first, then a real crisp bready malt, followed by some bitter in the finish. so hoppy it leaves your mouth tingling a bit after each sip. i love the acidity that comes out of the hops in this beer as well as the resinous feeling in the aftertaste.
mouthfeel isn't as crisp or biting as i remember, and carbonation seems not as prominent as it could be, which takes mouthfeel down just a bit.
overall a great IPA, just not labeled as such. bitter, bracing and brilliant.
