(6-pack from mid-Feb 2011)
Appearance: hazy honey colored. large head that persists at half an inch for a long while
Smell: Subdued hops (cooked?), cereal, toast, slight golden raisins.
Taste: Moderate hop bitterness, tangerine, marmalade, toasted oat cereal, dry finish
Mouthfeel: Highly carbonated, smooth, slight bite initially but nothing off-putting.
Drinkability: Very, a tastefully restrained Pale Ale. Session worthy.
Recommended: A solid offering from Anchor. I prefer the Steam Beer, but this one is certainly worthy as well.
Serving type: bottle
