Poured from bottle into an imperial pint. Bottled on 1/11/11. A good sign?
A: Thick off-white head. Highly active carbonation. Slightly hazy gold with amber hues. Excellent lacing and retention of the head. Unique-shaped bottle with an anchor on the label.
S: Earthy and floral hops. Also grapefruit. Very fragrant and inviting.
T: Sweet malt and honey, with earthy hops. A light citrus as well. A tad watery in the middle.
M: Light-bodied, creamy and smooth giving way to a pleasant hops dryness.
O: This is an American Pale Ale that I can rely on. I've been waiting for an all-around great APA to come my way, and this is the first I've tried.
