Growler pour at mrbubbler's tasting.

Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and Fruity Pebbles aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour fruity and salty flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is refreshing, tasty, and easy to drink.

From 12/12/13 notes. Big thanks to Nugganooch for sharing a growler of this fresh from Cali. Always interested in trying a new Gose and never heard of this brewery. 32 oz. growler poured into a tulip.

a - Pours a clear lightly yellow color with one inch of bright white head and light carbonation evident.

s - Smells of lightly sour citrus hops, lemon zest, floral hops, bread, sour biscuit, earthy malts, spices, pepper, and light salt. Salt isn't too evident; nose is good, reminds me almost of a very light berliner.

t - Tastes salt, citrus, lemon, earthy notes, spice, floral notes, bread, and some sour dough. Salt comes through more here in the backend than it did in the nose, and there is a nice lemon tartness. Very good taste, better than the nose.

m - Light body and low to moderate carbonation. Crisp and refreshing, and easy to drink. You could take down a couple glasses of this if you wanted to.

o - Overall I liked this gose a lot; I'd put it slight after the Westbrook and Cascade goses I've had as one of the best. Light and crisp with some nice lemon tartness like a berliner, but the salt comes through in the taste for sure. Worth seeking out and would like to have it again.

Thanks to Aaron for opening up this beer!

750 ml bottle sealed with a pressure cap and sticker.

poured into HF wine stem.

Appearance: translucent and sparkling pale yellow bodied beer with a massive bone white head atleast 3 fingers tall. head has some great staying power.

Smell: A crisp, clean, bright, smelling beer. A light tart note of lemon. A hint of bready or crackery malts. Not a very complex nose, but it smells fantastic.

Taste: A light tart note of lemons just like the nose. The beer finishes with just enough salt so that you know that its there. This beer is so balanced and well rounded it is simply fantastic!

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carboantion. Almost semidry, but not quite. The beer feels so light and "airy". Insanely drinkable. The beer feels delicate and slightly creamy.

Overall: Elegant and sophistocated Gose. Its easily the best Gose that I have ever had. It is effortlessly better that Westbrook Gose. I have honestly never heard of Rapp brewery before, but I will be keeping an eye out for them now. This beer has absolutely no flaws.
