Served on tap at the brewery.
A-Very dark with just a thin ring of tan film sticking to the lip of the chalice.
S-Funky aromas upfront, tobacco and cherries also.
T-Lots going on here, dark smoky roasted malt upfront with the funk taking over ending slightly sour and smokey.
M-Very smooth for a 10% brew, alcohol not at all overbearing. Refreshing and definitely a sour finish.
O-Complexity indeed, lots happening in theis beer. Combination of dark smokey malt and funk is like nothing I've ever tasted. A unique beer that reminds me of Russian River's Consecration with an added edge from the smokey roasted malt. After sampling 3 offerings from SARA I think this is a promising brewery.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown with a smattering of fizzy tan foam. aroma is hard to figure out while cold, but releases some dark fruits, pumpernickel, and leather as it warms. Flavor has a solid flandersy acetic tartness, bready leathery malt, a pervasive but mild anise note, slight coffee/chocolate roast, vanilla, oak, pepper.
