Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a murky light orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with malt, grain, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour fruit and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a sourness that is slightly better in the taste.

Muddy, yeasty golden amber with a thin white crust. Oaky, vinous nose with pineapple and citrus. Mildly funky and sulfuric. Palate is really nice - soft doughy malt, lots of zesty citrus, pineapple, white wine, mild oak tannins. Light and refreshing. Another great farmhouse sour from SARA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clementine orange with a compact white head. Aroma is acidic stone fruits, sharp Greek yogurt, cheesey lactic acid. Flavor is tangy apricot and sharp acidic yogurt with a woody, horsey, dusty finish. Super buggy and lactic.

750ml bottle from first ever draw off the 660G cask. I followed the saga of that troublesome vessel with Tim and Adair and was SO STOKED to see it come to fruition.

Appearance is brilliantly clear pale yellow with a hint of orange and seems to defy physics by casting more light than it captures.

Smell is very tropical. POG (Pineapple, Orange, Guava) comes to mind, as does lemon custard.

Taste is, well...delightful. Crisp and vibrant with layers of the same tropical and citrus fruits hinted at in the aroma. First attack and final finish both remind me of some of the best ciders I've encountered. Tart without puckering.

Overall, a truly outstanding "farmhouse sour" if you just have to give it a label. SARA plans to put the cask to use for solera style ales. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Note that this was the second of two bottles I tasted, about 3-4 months apart. The extra rest served this beer extremely well.
