They have only been open for a few months, but this place has character, and a cool down to earth vibe aleady. A bit off the beaten path, just a few minutes from the BQE, where it crosses the bridge whith the crazy Polish name that nobody can spell or pronounce...just on the other side of western Williamsburgh, I suppose....anyway, rustic, smaller place, dim lights, large windows out onto the urban scene...12 or so quality options on tap and in counter pressure filled growlers. Tasty and interesting food options. Friendly and attentive staff, neighborhood, friendly feel. They are into quality beer and it shows. They deliver growlers untill 3:30 am thurs-sat! Woo hoo - thats an innovation and a sick idea...Sort of 1/2 bar and 1/2 growler filling spot. Well worth a visit if local or heading in or out of Brooklyn...

I met the owner of this place last summer, months before he opened the joint, and I was very curious to know how it would come out. The guy was nice but didn’t strike me as particularly versed in beer, but I could tell he really wanted to be part of the whole craft-beer and growler thing.
Fast forward to January 2012 and I decided to finally check “One Stop Beer Shop”. For that I made the trek from my place in Midtown to an area of Brooklyn/Greenpoint I had never been to. The place itself is nice but small, an old storefront with lots of wood and character. A bar, some tables, a seating area by the ample windows… it is cozy in here, but I bet it will get damn busy on a Friday night!
They call it a shop but it is really a bar. The only thing you can buy to take home is a growler. Good prices on those, from $5 to $23, though- and the cool pressurized system I first saw at “The Growler Station” in the Village. The price on pints to stay are not bad either, mostly $5 to $7 except for Piraat and Chouffe which are $9. My little mug of Old Raspy was $5, nice!
16 taps on the board: Stone Smoked Porter, Founders Centennial, Old Raspy, Dogfish 60, Southern Tier oak-aged Pumking, Allagash Black… pretty damn good. However, the best stuff you’ll find here is the beer cocktails, which are hard to find in any bar, anywhere. I had a dark-and-stormy made with rosemary, Canton, agave, Moonshine and Stone Smoked Porter that was to die for. Maybe a little pricey at $9 for a small glass, but so very good!
They also have a small food menu of “fancy” bar bites like truffled grilled cheese and pulled-pork sliders. Must try next time...
I will come back, even though it is out in the boonies!

Stoped by here over this past weekend while visiting soem friends in Williamsburg.
They just opened on 12/28/11.
This is a fairly small place, but they have a really cool bar that uses the space well. I would describe it as a "Z" shape, which makes for easy conversations at the corners! Its in a quiet residential spot, and will probably get really packed once the word gets out.
Anyway...they have a nice beer selection on tap. They had captain lawrence, southern tier, sixpoint, some belgians, etc. They have an even more extensive bottle list. I think they have a cask...but didnt see it up and running when I was there. Prices were good, for NYC (but maybe a bit higher for me being in Westchester).
They also do growler fills. They actually use the correct method, air tight seal as opposed to the old hose connected to the tap like I usually see. You can tell they really care about the beer they serve. The bartenders are just awesome. Super nice and really take the time to get to know their customers.
They have some food...well, they have 2 sandwiches...I got the pulled pork and it was excellent! Apparently it is slow cooked for 8hrs...but it took 8 mins to eat.
Overall, well worth a visit and will probably become a nice regular spot for me when I am visiting brooklyn.
Also, good luck to the owners!
