A - starts a clear bubby light straw golden, very tall head retained forever, leaving some random lacing as it finally dissipated ... note that the last half of the bottle was very hazy as expected
S - strong aromas of yeast, spice, bread, and alight perfume hint
T - big flavours of fruity yeast, all spice, bready malt, tropical fruit, and perfumey hops, very complex mix of flavours
M - light with a pleasant carbonation, refreshing, finishing with a dry grainy feel
O - simply outstanding, one of the most tasty and complex witbiers i've had the pleasure of trying, if i had this on tap somewhere close i would never leave

A - Pours a hazy golden yellow with a lush 2 finger head that seems to hang on to he glass and leaves a sticky lacing throughout the entire session.

S - Spices up front such as clove, mild peppercorns, ginger, and maybe some nutmeg. This is followed by sweet bready yeast and some mild fruits like banana and lemon zest.

T - Taste follows the smell almost to a T. It just flows nicly from the spices to the sweet yeast at the end. This really balances out well and is very complex.

M - Medium carbonation with a dry feel at the finish and a well balanced flavor profile.

O - My only regret is giving away a bottle to a friend from my trip to Canada. This beer is excellent and I will not hesitate to try to get my hands on more.

A: hazy hazy yellow but not quite cloudy. A little more translucent than you'd expect a beer of this style. After five minutes of sitting carbonation looks almost champagne-like. Pillowy one inch head after a fairly easygoing pour, and the head sticks around for days with nice lacing.

S: Slight fruitiness with a hint of spice and a decent whiff of hops right at the end.

T: Nothing overpowering on the taste, but subtle and pleasant combinations of clove and banana. The smell leads you to think this will have a more aggressive taste profile. Super crisp, refreshing. A little lacking in the flavor department but an overall delicate and well executed taste. At 5% ABV there's only a little maltiness detected. Fruit/banana begins to stand out more as it warms.

M: Light and refreshing, goes down super easy, and has just the right amount of stickiness to leave a nice aftertaste, with mid to high levels of carbonation.

O: Even though this isn't my favorite style, had I had this beer on a spring/summer day when it was warm out instead of a 20 degree day in the middle of January in Canada I probably could have put down quite of few of these. Great balance in the taste, doesn't weigh you down but carries enough taste to satisfy. A very solid example of a drinkable spring/summer time session. Would recommend.

500ml bottle poured into a 22oz goblet.

A - Explosion of foam immediately after I opened it (why does this keep happening lately?). Fluffy white head atop a murky body of pale-amber beer. The cap of foam sticks around for a while and leaves spots of lacing here and there.

S - Lots of fruit, spices, yeast, and wheat. Cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and coriander are the most prominent spices. Light banana, with more pronounced notes of orange, apricot, green apples, and lots of citrusy zest. Light yeasty wheat character is very nice.

T - Really heavy on the spice, but it doesn't get really messy in the finish like one might expect with this much spice. Finishes with a light citrusy character coupled with clean wheat malt, light fruity goodness, and yeasty sediment. Tons of ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon, almost like a pumpkin ale, but with a yeasty wheat presence with a touch of citrus to pull it back towards the witbier style. It doesn't quite finish with as much citrus and zest as I like to see with this style, with more apricot and spice than citrus and coriander.

M - Nice and lively carbonation with a body on the lighter side. Spice character is kept in check and doesn't overwhelm the finish. Still feels quite clean and fresh.

D - Great wit, but it's just missing a little something. I'd give this wit a slight edge over Unibroue's Blanche de Chambly. The spices here are a huge part of the beer, but don't get too jumbled up in the finish, keeping this beer feeling clean and refreshing. Very good, but not superb.

A: Pours a hazy yellow with a fair amount of fizzy white head. Most of the head dissipates quickly, but a ring around the edge of the glass and some surface film retains in places.

S: Clove and other sweet spices; a nice mix, almost smells like a tea.

T: Lightly sweet, with the spices showing up mid palate and dominating the finish.

M: Fair amount of prickly carbonation, light body.

Overall, a pretty good offering of the style. I'm not a big fan of the style, so I probably wouldn't get it again, but I'm interested in trying the brewery's take on some other styles.

very hazy, whitish yellow, very pale and cloudy. Huge white head never fully faded and tons of clingy lace down the sides of the glass. Some visible carbonation.

light, lots of yeast and some light fruit, little grain, and a touch of hops.Lots of yeast and light fruits, some peach and pear. Very light taste, awesome hot summer day flavor, rich and creamy, very nice consistency and feel. Great carbonation.

Could put down a ton, really easy drinker and a great belgian.

Pours a cloudy golden straw color with a decent head and excellent retention. Lacing is nice as well.

The aroma is filled with spice and wheat as well as a hint of citrus.

The taste is a bit fuller than I'm used to for the style. It had a fullness which is almost more of a tripel characteristic. Spices are a tad strong at first, but as the drink sets up a bit, there's more of a foundation to round it out.

The mouthfeel is medium full and heavy. Carbonation seemed to be overly aggressive, but for the style it's not so heavy. The finish is slightly dry.

Overall, it's a pretty nice Witbier. It's not actually my favorite style, but this was one of the interpretations that I enjoyed most. The belgian character of it sort of saved it for me.

Appearance: It has a nice cloudy yellow/golden colour to it. It has a nice white head that dies down moderately and leaves some lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of wheat malts with some citrus, lemon, spices and yeast.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a nice wheat flavor with a blend of citrus and lemon, some spices and yeast.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavors and aromas.

Pale yellow, cloudy and turbid with protein haze and carbonation. It's towering head of retentive white foam wouldn't look out of place on a pint of weissbier, and leaves a spotty lace on the glass. It's aroma is alive with the scent of orange zest and wildflowers. Lemon and orange lend a citric tang to its flavour, which also shows wheat cracker and chamomile tisane notes. Mouthfeel is velvet smooth, with ample amounts of soft carbonation. Fantastic, delicious, drinkable wit.

ABV 5%. 500ml bottle poured into a Weizen Glass.

A - Poured a cloudy yellow with a big frothy head. Head reduced to a 1cm bubbly cap with specks of sediments (looks like it might be spices). Also the carbonation is visibly effervescent and decent lacing.

S - Plenty of spice (such as coriander and nutmeg) on the nose. There's also some bread, lemon and banana. Well balanced and quite pleasant.

T - Starts off with spicy sweetness (nutmeg?), light lemon sourness, more spiciness (coriander?), and a mild tea like bitterness in the finish.

M - Good carbonation, creamy, some tang, smooth finish.

O - Amazingly drinkable. One of the best Witbiers I've had so far.

Bottled 2011/05/10.

A - Pours cloudy golden/blonde. One finger of soapy white head. Good carbonation. A touch of lacing and a good three quarter finger of retention.

S - Lot's of sweet spice, yeast, light wheat, lemony citrus, and a bit of banana. Nice complex aroma.

T - Nice lemony wit on our hands. Wheat, sweet spice, a little yeast.

M - Really effervescent, light to medium creamy-ish body and a slightly sweet, crisp finish.

O/D - A pretty solid Belgian style wheat. Spice is balanced with a good yeast presence, the gentle wheat character, and a good citrusy aspect. I liked it.

A good example of a Belgian-style white beer.

Hazy, thin golden with little head and few visible bubbles, but a definite effervescence in the mouthfeel. Aroma is typical of the style, wheaty with coriander notes. Flavours are also typical of the witbier style, but this is a sweet and well balanced example. There are fruit tones in the palate that I don't pick up in the aroma.

Not personally my favourite type of beer, but I believe this is very true to style and would compare well against anything in Belgium.

Pours a perfect cloudy golden colour with nice thick white head. Nice lacing on the glass....

Smells are the traditional citrus...coriander...bready notes...bit of banana.

A delightful slightly tart refreshing beer. The citrus notes shine through, slightly spicey. A fantastic wheat.

Very good for the abv.

Overall this is a fantastic wheat...I will def get this again. One of the best classic wheats I have had in a while.

really cool bottle and label.
careful pouring this one as the head can easily get out of control.

pale yellow and cloudy with a white head that sinks fast. looks like a witbier.

nose is mild subtle yet complex and inviting. citrus zest. spicy notes. smells like a well crafted beer of its denoted style.

despite the heavy carbonation this beer manages to have a silky feel. the taste is clean and refreshing. slightly zesty slightly spice, the spice lingers on in the aftertaste. easy to drink this beer slowly as the spiciness lingers.

a little hard on the stomach with all the carbonation. this beer has some nice flavors.
