I poured the beer into a large chalice. A good gold color with white head that stuck around. I could smell a little orange-like citrus. The initial taste was citrus, and some malty roastiness came out. A light feel on my tongue with a little bit of alcohol warmth.

Was surprised to see this at The Strath liquor store wile in Victoria over the weekend! I don't think I've ever seen it locally.

Appearance . Pours a beautiful gold with a little haze. Topped with almost two fingers of fluffy white head.

Smell. Big light fruits and Belgian yeast, sweet light malts, more fruit coming in the form of red and green apples, and just a hint of classic Belgian spicing.

Taste. Apple juice and nice fruity belgian yeast, pears and peaches, very light clove and bruised banana.

Mouthfeel. Medium body, carbonation is pretty strong but fine and fairly soft.

Overall. Really nice stuff. One of the better tripels I've had for sure.

Special thanks to papat444 for sending us this.

A: Pours exceptionally clear allowing you to view the cratered head from the bottom of the glass. Colour is a pale gold with massive bone white head with pillows of lacing along the sides and a steady stream of carbonation.

S: Tropical juicy fruit of ripe ripe bananas, star fruit, pear, apple and lychee. Mid notes of buttery pastry and finishes with hints of cloves, soapyness and minerals.

T: Pronounced yeasty bread notes which were not apparent on the scent, together with sweet ripe bananas, citrus peel and minerals.

M: Syrupy and thick with mild carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Outstanding.

O: This is another excellent brew from Microbrasserie Charlevoix with excellent elements from the initial pour to the finish. Definitely worth seeking. Thanks again to papat444 for providing us with it.
