I had heard about it and I finally went and, WOWEEWOWWOW. I love this place.
Wood as far as the eye can see. Gets pretty busy and is actually quite small for such an internationally well-known beer bar. I like the crowdedness as it reminds me of many small Munich taverns in the evenings.
They have more beers than anyone could ask for in a single place. They rotate the tap constantly and have a wide variety of styles to choose from, though I would say more Beligiums than most. Most beers come in their appropriate glassware.
On a regular day its pretty good, but when it gets busy its hard to get a server. When you go up to the bar to get your beer its easy to bump into somebody which is especially terrible here since to spill some of their fine brews would be an absolute travesty!
What can I say about selection...over 300+ beers with about a 20 beer rotating tap.
Costs what it should, and not what many Chicago places charge. It really feels like they want you to try their beers. A good choice for sure.
