This intense and assertive double IPA is a benchmark for the style. A clean malt backbone supports an intense array of fruity, citrusy, and piney hop notes. Brewed with almost 5 pounds per barrel of hops, this American ale showcases every part of the flavor spectrum one would expect from hops grown in the USA. Finishing with an intense bitterness, this beer pairs great with buffalo wings and classic bar food.

What a good stiff IPA. Goes down way too easily. Smells of dry hop but the taste is sort of mild. Good beer to feel good with. If you love Heavy Seas Loose Cannon, you will love this one with a bit more alcohol.

I tried this on tap at Tommy's Pizza in Gettysburg, served chilled in a snifter.
The color is golden amber with hazy clarity and thick white head which drops to a fine bead. The smell is great -lots of pine and citrus with slight alcohol and grapefruit ester of simcoe if I had to guess. The feel is tangy and fruity with moderately high bitterness with resinous texture and medium carbonation with a dry bitter finish.
The taste begins peppery with hops and pine-like with a slight alcohol in the middle that is pretty noticeable yet mild malt with an almost non-existent presence and slight toast with mild orange rind in the hops bringing you back to the initial hop flavors sort of circular in that regard. This is a high quality west coast inspired Imperial IPA -bitter and dry

Poured into a 16 oz Troegs tulip snifter bottled on 7/7/16. Says 10.2 % ABV. Pours a hazy orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves impressive streaks of lace.
Smell is huge tropical fruit apricot, mango, papaya, pine, and assertive grapefruit.
Taste follows bold flavor, tropical upfront before it sucker punches you with piney that absolutely assaults the palate in a great way, with maybe a tinge of alcohol presence.
Mouthfeel is almost large, moderating carbonation and it works wonderfully, and it drinks easily if you love big bodied and tropically bitter DIPAS.
Overall I am floored by this, @jzeilinger this thing is truly special. Thanks brother!
