This bright and flavorful wheat ale is a perfect warm weather beer. The base beer is a well balanced, mildly sweet American wheat ale with a bready malt flavor. The added mango provides a delicious fruit overtone in both aroma and flavor. Pair this beer with fried fish or ceviche.

My can reads 5.0% ABV.
If you come into this one expecting a traditional hefeweizen you may well find yourself disappointed. There's no banana or clove on display here. This is nothing but sweet, jammy mango and I personally think it hits the spot just fine on a hot Spring day. Mouthfeel brings a snappy crispness up front, but it does finish just a touch heavy. Could perhaps use a smidge more carbonation? I dunno; me dum. Dum ass Hel.

Pours translucent yellow-brown with minimal head and abundant carbonation from bottle to glass. Smell is of mango up front followed by wheat. Taste is same. Mouthfeel is crisp due to abundant carbonation but rather thin. Nothing remarkable, but a decent refreshing summer beer.

not at all as delicate as i hoped it would be, a somewhat sturdier wheat beer with the mango flavor quite obviously not whole fruit, and somewhat forced, although my lady and i both enjoyed this for what it is. a deeper golden color in the pint, pushing orange, with good clarity. aroma is sweet honey malt and mango puree, a concentrate, overdosed, a little syrupy, not super fresh, and with just a hint of metallics in the background. the flavor is better, and as strong as the mango is, i still get some nice cerealy wheat underneath it, and the two go together well. the mango is certainly sweet, but it tastes good to me, i like mango in beer, and its either all or nothing, hard to use this fruit subtle i feel. a bit cheap tasting though overall, not sure the wheat beer itself would be much to speak of without the fruit addition, and more carbonation is absolutely needed to give some life to this, a little heavy after one without it. my first beer from these guys wasnt bad, but it was definitely my least favorite of the several we had from free will on our trip to PA. nice with chicken wings though...
