Had on tap. The tastes of this brown ale is exceptional. Very rarely have I tasted such masterful use of rum barrel aging with a coffee forward beer. Plus the oats, brown sugar, marshmallow, wood, and caramel flavors just add to the brilliant balance. The feel is chewy, viscous, yet slightly bready. The brown ale styling is accentuated in the smell with the rum booze, where in the taste is drinks light any complex stout.

on draft at the brewery. the rum barrel definitely added some nice complexity to the beer. a touch boozy but in a good way. nice to see a barrel aged beer that's not a stout

Holy smokes. Poured at the Free Will Tap Room into a tulip glass. The color reminded me of chocolate licorice, but let a little light through. Lacing was fine lined and prevalent. Smell was like espresso jelly beans. A whole lot of candy and sugar going on in this beer. Taste was super espresso bitterness, incredible smoky flavor from the malt. This really tasted like a charred marshmallow stuffed with coffee beans. Felt pleasantly chewy. Not usually my style of beer, but this one really wowed me.
