Our biggest seller. Naughty Otter Lager is fun, refreshing, crisp our premium lager for any time of year. Made with organic barley from the US midwest and Czech hops, Naughty Otter is about relaxing, forgetting the stress of work, recovering from cutting the grass, or just unwinding. This beer is partially filtered so it has a craft beer look and feel, and an IBU of 24 which means it is hoppier than most domestic mainstream beers but it is still accessible to the wider public

I got a can of this beer from a beer store in Sault Ste Marie whilst there for my son's hockey tournament. It poured a slightly hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had faint crystal malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle yeast presence and a hint of citrus. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

At the eyes very nice lager: golden; carbonated with a very generous head. A very foamy head. Visually she is very pleasing to look at, even sexy.

Nose wise: biscuit; cereal and crisp.

In mouth: Very shy; smooth; balanced; but structure wise there is something missing.

Overall a good lager that I would love in July on a terrasse.

In general I just don't drink lagers any more as they're just too tasteless. However, this one was there so I gave it a try. A surprising slightly fruity scent as well as taste with no offensive adjunct flavours made for a decent beer. Nothing close to the giant tastes of the IPAs I've been enjoying. But, I'm likely a tough critic after recently coming home from a trip where I got to visit the Alchemist, Treehouse & Foundation, so this score in the 3's feels about right.

I was very excited to try this beer, as I am a huge fan of lagers. It poured a nice, pale yellow, and had a faint, but not unpleasant scent of grass and some mild fruitiness. My first taste was promising, as the flavour was again, faint, but a smooth, mild maltiness. However, halfway through my first sip, the flavour suddenly vanished. There was no aftertaste, and it felt like I hadn't just had a sip of beer. It was confusing, and it was disappointing, as I like to taste the lager that I'm drinking. It wasn't offensive, and I finished the can, but I would never buy it again.

Can - pours a pale straw hazy lager in the glass. Puffy white 2 finger cap lasts. Light grainy-grassy aroma but departs a deeply malty- well hopped flavor - chewy malts in front and the woody hopping takes over the dry finish - well balanced, clean, malty, satisfying - a good small-batch crafted Canadian lager.

Great Ontario craft beer! I have been sampling a number of Ontario craft lagers recently and really liked the taste of Naughty Otter. It is a really smooth & refreshing beer, great for a summer day, but it also has a nice hoppy taste to it. Overal great beer, I will definitely buy again!

Naughty Otter Lager from the Gananoque Brewing Company in Gananoque, Ontario, Canada.

473ml can. 5.2 % alc. 24 IBUs.

Water, barley, hops, yeast.

Thick white head and the beer is a pale yellow. The beer has a haziness to it.

The smell is fresh white bread and the slightest bit of citrus. At first I doubted myself about the citrus, but it's present.

The taste is fresh white bread and really mild hop bitterness.

I was expecting a grainier taste for some reason. Still, what presents is really flavourful in a subdued kind of way. This is really a refreshing beer.

The mouthfeel is thin to creamy and the body is light.

Finish is dry and satisfying.

This beer is very drinkable, especially on a hot day. One could easily gulp.

The beer would pair well with chicken and pork dishes.

Nice balance of drink-ability with interesting flavours. Great introduction into the hoppier category for less experienced craft beer drinkers.
