A 16oz pint at Beer Revolution Calgary.

This beer appears a clear medium golden yellow colour, with one finger of sudsy, foamy white head, which leaves some sparse tendrils of snaking lace around the glass as it swiftly slips away.

It smells of pale grainy, somewhat cerealized malt, lightly bitter leafy hops, and a faint lemon citrus essence. The taste is semi-sweet grainy malt, one with a definite German influence, kind of sour lemon notes, and lightly weedy, mostly leafy hops.

The carbonation is a tad zippy, most goes sedate after a spell, the body a barely under the radar medium weight, and straight-ahead pedestrian smooth. It finishes a little too sweet, but of the agreeable sort - just not enough decent hop offset.

An adequate lager, plain as it is, I'm happy to say. Maybe worthy of a few pints before a switch to something more interesting, or more dear, depending on your particular agenda for the day. Yes, I'm drinking during the day.
