Notes/Commercial Description:
Jones, the lovable pup, has returned to his throne. This creamy, chocolatey, milk stout with vanilla added is tasting rich, velvety, and delicious. It is the perfect brew to enjoy while cozying up to an episode or twenty of your favorite sophisticated cable drama.

Poured into a Ommegang Game of Thrones sifter,

A) Dark chocolate color, low carbonation, two finger head no lacing. It reminds me of a homebrew in appearance.

S) Chocolate all the way, maybe a little burnt sugar as it warms.

T) Chocolate frosted chocolate cake.

M) light carbonation, medium body.

O) A damn good stout for the chocolate lovers in the stout fan base.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Much darker than its little brother. Oily black. Nothing by way of a head.

Smell - Really chocolatey. Fudge syrup. Some caramel malts.

Taste - Still really chocolatey, but with some depth. Molasses character comes through as well. I don't get a whole lot of lactose from this one. A little sweet, though.

Mouthfeel - Medium low carbonation. Slick and coats the mouth. Medium heavy.

Overall - Better than Jones Dog, but mostly because of all the chocolate in it.

Dark cola brown and opaque. Very light khaki head that's reduced to a surface coating.

Smells of dark chocolate, root beer, and artificial grape like a mr. freeze pop.

The taste is like a dark chocolate mousse. Vanilla, chocolate, root beer, sweet. Lightly roasted malt.

Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. It's extremely drinkable for 10%.

It's a big sweet stout that's drinkable and packed with dessert like flavors. Doesn't get much better than that.

Batch # 214 - 215

a: black as night. Thin khaki head which recedes fairly quickly

s: Not prominent but chocolate milk with healthy splash of extra cream and a hefty serving of cacao. Vanilla comes in slightly as it warms

t: Follows on from the nose. Creamy cream and chocolately chocolate. Milk Chocolate, chocolate milk, you get the picture.

m: Creamy. Full body. medium carbonation

o: Very tasty milk stout from Pipeworks. I've not had many in this style but it's among the best I have had. On any given sip, the 10% is hardly detectable but it accumulates very nicely over the course of the bottle. Only quibble is I wish the vanilla was more prominent. Nicely done.

Batch 214-215, looks to be a couple months old already.

Dark brown when poured, black in the glass with a compact layer of tan foam that dissipates after a couple minutes. Minimal spotty lacing is barely there in the glass.

Slightly sweet carob and malted milk balls in the aroma.

Taste is also sweet with chocolate up front, and some coffee bitterness in the aftertaste. Lingering roastiness, ok carbonation, though it feels a little thin. Pretty drinkable. I liked imperial Hyper Dog better, but this was pretty good.
