Jones, the lovable pup, has returned to his throne. This creamy, chocolatey, milk stout with vanilla added is tasting rich, velvety, and delicious. It is the perfect brew to enjoy while cozying up to an episode or twenty of your favorite sophisticated cable drama.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a speiglau stout glass.
Look is pitch black with a thin tan head.
Aroma is a sweet lactose with a bitter acrid note at the end.
Taste is a cream sweetness balanced by a coco bitterness.
Delicious beer, excellently balanced stout.

this is completely diabetic! i neat beer too taste, and actually very appealing in many ways, but not something someone could reasonably drink much more than a few ounces of, it definitely doesnt need the milk sugar, at least not to this degree, especially with how sweet the vanilla asserts itself, its just out of control, past the point of reasonable, and a little bit lost on me, although anytime you bring these flavors together in such an intense way, i am going to like it a least to some degree. the vanilla is so intense, and there is a ton of chocolate character in here too, maybe some added, maybe just from the selected grains, but there is certainly more than enough of both. its great at first, slick and robust, the sugar comes on in the middle and never stops escalating. by the end, its like a squirt of hersheys syrup followed by a molasses shot, way too much for me. i love pipeworks for making intense and definitely polarizing beers a lot of the time, and this has potential in small doses, in cooking, and for those needing a blood sugar spike, but i couldnt appreciate this fully i dont think because of all the sweet. cool, but more of a novelty than anything, at least for me.

Had this on 2016-11-08 in Columbia, PA from a 22oz bottle. It is from 2014, batch 545-546.
A - Opaque dark-brown/almost-black with almost no head or lace.
S - Mostly sweet chocolate. Smells nice but not complex.
T - Full-on chocolate leaning more to the milk than the dark side. Some roasted grain but not char. Just a bit of earthy spice. Lots of vanilla. Roasted bitterness balances the chocolate in the finish. Alcohol just about imperceptible.
M - Medium-heavy body and light-medium carbonation. Smooth and creamy. Lucious.
O - If you like chocolate; you're going to like this. Not complex, but then again; does chocolate cake need to be complex?
