So maybe their calendar wasn't the best judge of when the world was going to end but damn, those Mayans made a mean hot chocolate. With that as our inspiration we imperialized our old friend End of Days. That means more malt, more cacao nibs, more vanilla, more cinnamon, more ancho & guajilllo peppers and more virgin sacrifices (kidding, totally kidding). The resulting brew has a big rich body, notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and a slight spicy kick on the finish. It is delicious right now or you could stash it away in your temperature controlled resting place until the next time the world ends.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one, discounted to about $3.50 and consumed at about 6 months old. All elements in balance - the cinnamon puts me on alert as another poster wrote, it tends to take over, but here it’s present but well integrated, could have used a smidge more heat, But this is super tasty. Judicious use of lactose, adds appealing creaminess without making a mess of the mouthfeel. Nicely sweet but definitely not cloying. One can rely on Pipeworks to deliver consistently good beer and this is no exception. Hate to say it but this is what xoceveza should be.

Picked this one up tonight, "pre-aged" is sometimes a good thing!
A - Black pour with a creamy caramel colored lacing ring.
S - Cinnamon and peppers on the nose with some slight char on the chocolate malt base.
T - Cinnamon takes front and center, even with this 1+ year old can. Light chocolate char malt base and light pepper heat. Ends mundane.
M - Light, viscous, syrupy body that leaves a lipsmacking sugary residue on the lips, light warming in the back of the throat.
O - Would love to try a fresher can but typical of all the cinnamon beers I've had, it dominates and leaves some heat, even at one year old. Totally not worth the $ I paid for this can but nevertheless, glad to finally have tried it.

Pours a deep dark brown to black color with ruby edges and a finger of beige head. The nose has some roast notes with a hint of chili pepper. The flavor has notes of cinnamon and, surprisingly, coconut. The mouthfeel is sticky.

Poured as black coffee with a milk chocolate brown head that vanished way to quickly.
Smells and taste of chocolate and cinnamon. Quite sweet up front and chili warm going down.
Feels somewhat flat.
Overall; Fairly good. But I've found much better. Looking for something else.

Sweet and smooth; fruity and spice. Pipeworks taps into many levels with Imperial End of Days. The stout starts off heavy with the fruit forward chiles and has a dry finish from what seems to be cocoa or cinnamon. The body holds everything together to create an overall rich and electric brew.

16 ounce can, packaged on 03/14/22, 9.5% ABV. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, coffee, cinnamon and some chili peppers. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some burnt/charred malt and dark bready flavors too. Not spicy at all, wish it had more of a peppery kick. It's still tasty but I like my chili pepper beers to have more of a punch to them. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a little creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink, too. I thought this was an enjoyable brew, recommend it more to people who like milder tasting chili pepper stouts but I'd drink this one again!

Pours inky, dark bronze black with little to no carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is cinnamon and peppers. Taste is cinnamon forward with chocolate, ending with peppers at the end. The peppers are mild and a sweetish, lactose is present to mollify the profile. Drinkable, unremarkable and not quite the end of days but perhaps a qualified middle.

Pours opaque, dark black in color with minimal head. Taste is big pepper and cola with milk chocolate. Heavy body, spicy, low carbonation. Very spicy, slick. Good for a pepper beer but apass.

Brown/black color.
Khaki head; minimal lace.
Strong cinnamon & mild cocoa nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
A nice cream & coffee flavor, very drinkable but too thin & simple to really stay with you.
