This IIPA, the latest addition in our hop-highlighting NvU Epic Battle series, has a bright, fresh hop aroma, and a subtle bitterness, that has us all talking about how crushable this is. (DISCLAIMER: Please do not actually crush beer while still in bottle and cap is still on. It will hurt…not that we know) Drink early, drink often.

Appearance: Light orange, reddish color. Head of a half a finger on the pour and was present on the edges of the glass while drinking. Moderate active carbonation. Sticky lacing left behind at each level.

Smell: Front nose is filled with tropical fruits of pineapple, grapefruit, mangos, passionfruit, kiwis, and tangerines. Subtle piney bitterness acts well as a complimentary aroma. Crisp clean malt bill allows these wonderfully bright tropical fruits to shine so brightly.

Taste: Mouthwatering bouquet of potent fruits welcomes the palate. Grapefruit, kiwis, and mangos are the biggest players. The tropical fruits carry well into the body of the brew but the addition of some slight pine and resin. The malt body is very slight but provides a magnificent body for these hops to stand on. Citrusy fruits continue to linger on the palate long after drinking.

Mouthfeel: The hop presence is so potent yet has such a soft feeling on the palate. Insanely drinkable, almost dangerously so. Carbonation is done perfectly.

Overall: The best offering in the Ninja/Pipeworks line to date. I loved the Citra but this brew was much cleaner and I really could savor every nuance of the hop profile. Amarillo, I see you.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a big creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet fruity malts and piney hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with tropical fruit and lots of resiny piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice piney fruity DIPA.

Pours a golden honey with white head that dissipates quickly.

Nice bouquet of tropical fruits...and then...here comes the weed and/or cat piss in a pine forest.

Taste of a big malt bill with a rich dankness to it. A lot a lot of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.

A creaminess to it with lingering hop.

Archiving this, I find this tastes similar to Citra Ninja and yea, even the scores are tight. Tasty quaff and delivers a great punch. Not to miss!

Clear gold. Head is dense but short and abruptly subsides.

Tropical fruit aromas. Dragon fruit, tangerine, mango.

Tropical fruit flavors. Slightly dry even with a little bit of grass. Light toasted cracker malt.

Mouthfeel is slightly flat. My only knock on the beer. Not entirely, but could use more carbonation to add a crispness to compliment the dry bite.

A very good beer. Not one of my favorite ninjas, but at this point the bar is high and even not being one of my favorites it's still one to seek out.

Appearance is slightly cloudy and a rust orange.

Smell is a hop punch to the nostrils, very pungent.

HOPS!!! Now this is a tasty beverage! Citrus, slight malt to balance, just great.

Mouthful of hops!

Overall a mf'ing hop bomb and a gd palate pleaser.

A- pours a nice thin white head, a nice golden color with lacing on the side of the glass.

S- nice upfront floral smell that hits you right away, smells like a hop explosion. Also get some light malts mixed in with the hops

T- nice smooth taste with a bite of hops as the beer rolls across the tongue, a smooth and sweeter taste to balance with the hops very nicely.

M- a little sticky, with a medium to thick mouthfeel that bites a little on the tongue

O- my first pipeworks Amarillo thanks to a trade, overall a solid beer with a nice hop balance and a nice taste. Solid beer overall
