22oz bottle into Duvel tulip. Batch 330-332.Thanks again Pidzik12. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours burnt golden with a very dense and creamy looking off-white head that took forever to slowly fade a thick greasy film.
S: Huge citrus notes of orange cream sickle, sweet tangerine juice, and lightly bitter grapefruit rind. Creamy smelling with a slight bready pale malt backbone.
T: Follows the nose with dominating orange and tangerine juice, orange sherbet, and grapefruit. The finish is sweet and juicy, with fruit nectar, tons of grapefruit peel, faint lemon zest, and a touch of evergreen mint and pine. I get a slight hint of the bready malt base poking through the hops as well. The aftertaste is bittersweet, lingering, and a touch rough around the edges from the booze. There’s an overall leafy and green herbal quality, perhaps tea.
M: Medium full body, very low and slick carbonation, smooth, oily, greasy mouthfeel. The booze is slightly noticeable but not hot.
O: Very good. Drinks really well albeit slight rougher than other high ABV dipas. Very very good. Thanks Paul.
