From 06/05/14 notes. 22 oz. bottle shared by BeerLawyer85, batch 380-381.

a - Pours a clear amber-orange color with one inch of off white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of fruity malts, spices, yeast, citrus hops, floral hops, light tropical hops, and light pine hops. Nice nose, lots of fruit.

t - Tastes of fruity malts, citrus hops, bready malts, light caramel malts, light pine, and light alcohol. Not as hoppy as the nose.

m - Medium body and low carbonation. Body is smooth and no real bitter bite.

o - Overall a decent IPA. Not as good as Citrus, but some nice hops in the nose. Would pass if I could get their other IPA's, but not a bad beer.

A: a sort of brown shade of copper in color. Forms modest ecru colored head. Stable, creamy. Surprising amount of lacing.

S: pleasant aroma. Mostly juicy, tropical hops mixed with pale malts, citrus and a slight woodsy quality.

T: taste is odd, conflicting, and disjointed. It starts with juicy hops and tropical flavors. Mandarin, mango, passion fruit. But then there is the Belgian yeast fruitiness which is an entirely different type of fruitiness than the juicy tropical flavors. The two don't play well together. Then the beer turns earthy. Dirty earthy. Unpleasantly earthy given the prior fruitiness. But we're not done! No, after the earthiness, there is an abrasively harsh dose of rubbing alcohol.

M: medium bodied. Lower carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Abrasive alcohol. Dirty.

O: yeah, not sure what's going on with this one, but it feels forced and contrived. Not PW's best showing.

A: Clear copper with a nice thick head that lingers a bit, with nice lacing against the glass.

S: Belgian spice upfront. Juicy tropical fruit upfront, and maybe some bubblegum.

T: Bready upfront with a crisp dryness. Then moves into some of that Belgian yeast spice and tropical juiciness. Alcohol bite on the backend.

M: Dry almost chalky on the tongue, which is way better than being overly sweet. Medium body.
